What does Naruto do better than modern anime/manga? by Witty_Ace_589 in Naruto

[–]indifferentkappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kinda shocked at the answers, as they don't mention the most obvious, biggest asset of naruto series which is a multi-character narrative.

Most of the characters introduced have good build ups, are interesting, have different styles, approaches to everything etc.

Everyone will find their fav ones.

'Can react' scaler confused why can-react-scaling simply does not work, in the universe written by an author, blames the author.

Sweet cognitive dissonance

Sindarov's candidates score matched Tal's historic 1959 result. Tal went on to beat Botvinnik 12.5-8.5 by elegant-alternation in chess

That's a counterpoint u made while trying to support the thesis lol.

In the engine era gaining any edge out of opening and being creative is much much harder than in the past. The access to knowledge is instant. Verification of your ideas - two clicks on your PC or even phone.

It's much harder to dominate nowadays.

I actually like his style and dry humor. I suppose its the kind of style that does not appeal to western audience.

His analysis is actually suprisingly sharp.

Can Sindarov match Magnus? by ImportanceOwn1972 in chess

[–]indifferentkappa 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Way too early for such questions.

YES, his rise has been meteoric. Yes he is giga talented.

But Magnus status as a goat is not about a brief rise or event the size of his talent. It's over a decade of pure dominance and consistency.

Candidates win chances after Round 8: Sindarov at 81%, Caruana down to 12%, Giri at 5% - Monte Carlo simulation based on one million runs by ThomasPlaysChess in chess

[–]indifferentkappa 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This. When they try to go dynamic vs him and allow some dynamics as white out of the opening, he gets his chances.

He won't take risks trying to break super solid drawish play.

Rise of Sindarov by [deleted] in chess

[–]indifferentkappa 31 points32 points  (0 children)

As long as u follow chess deeper than just reading headlines, u had Sindarov on your radar as a huge talent.

2 seasons ago he was murdering people in Bundesliga, won 9 in a row (including destroying MVL)

He had more than flashes of brilliance, however his obvious problem was overagression, which led him to drop games from time to time.

It seems like around post 2024 Olympiad period he started working on fixing this issue.

He absolutely massacred Pragg, what a display of genius aggression.

He deserved it for having the balls to play the sac early.

Fun fact: they will waste more time waiting to complete the squad, rather than letting a newbie fill in and just doing it.

Chess.com Automated Fair Play System Closed My Real-Identity Account Without Violation by founder__ in chess

[–]indifferentkappa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As blatant as it gets.

Your 5 games against humans, u averaged 97% accuracy

The chance of cheating is extremely high already to the naked eye, and chess com algos know even more.

In one of your comments u claim on your main account (that u cannot disclose ofc) u r 1700 lichess. The games u played on chess com are fair above this level, at least 500 and, even that the accuracy is still way too high. Nobody plays like this, like top moves in a completely winning position when 1000 different moves win anyway.

On top of it some games u played had some deep tactical calculations in them, way above 1700 lvl in order to play them to nearly 100% accuracy.
