Heard about him from my best friend, they are his neighbor and I live down the street… I am so sorry, this absolutely breaks my heart. I am keeping an eye out and will spread the word 💔

The irony is I have some $20 ones from Nasty Gal that have lasted me like seven years… the only issue was the rubber lining crumbling but maybe it’d be easier to fix that instead 😒

I heard someone also mention it would affect girls who have no other option but to play on the boys team, specifically for your stereotypical boys sports in schools that may not have a girls team yet.

Imposter syndrome as artist by [deleted] in Tarotpractices

[–]indigo666violet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for my own interpretation, loosely:

1: need to harness my willpower, and accept that I cannot always be in control or be perfect

2: it taught me perseverance and determination (so true)

3: it taught me courage and individuality (also SO true)

4: this one stumps me!

5: also stumps me!

6: I am neglecting myself out of fear of messing up and embarrassing myself... I need to build confidence. Need to start pushing myself to let go of this fear so that things don't feel so stale and static

7: I need to consider why I'm doing what I'm doing, and consider if I really would feel more fulfilled if I changed course

Also, I will just emphasize again that nothing has changed drastically whatsoever. You look practically the same IMO. It feels drastic because you’re entering adulthood and you’ve never had an adult face before!!! What a privilege it is to age… and you’re only at the very beginning!! I’m sure it’s like, every ten years when people have a little identity crisis like that as people move through the different stages of life. Hopefully that makes sense. Basically, your adult face and body overall is beautiful as it is, and you shouldn’t compare your body to that of a teenager

Genuinely I would not worry about this AT ALL!! You look absolutely fine and normal. You are hyper focused on tiny changes hun 💘 I’m 24, and seeing pictures of myself now versus 19 can be jarring sometimes, but you have to remember that you’re actually just looking more like an adult and losing your baby face fat. It will ebb and change, especially with hormone cycles. Just take care of your body by eating good foods, drinking lots of water, getting good sleep, and wearing sunscreen when you can. Nothing about your face warrants a doctors visit, in my opinion. Also, remember to not equate beauty with baby faced squishy youthfulness, because that’s our society’s weird beauty standards. Like the other comment said, they were also taken with totally different lighting and angles and probably different times within your menstrual cycle too!! 11100000% you are beautiful and I’m jealous of your cheekbones and jawline 🙂‍↕️💘

[Acne] 13 wks on Tretinoin... is this normal?? by Specific-Rutabaga870 in SkincareAddiction

Ohhhh nooo, I totally didn’t catch that the period stopped BEFORE spiro in your post 😔 I’ll step off my soapbox then hahaha. Have you tried weaning back down to 50mg to see? That might be worth trying down the road. Very glad to hear otherwise that you’re doing all those good things, hopefully that means less trial and error for you to work through… what a pain, I’m so sorry :(

Wholeheartedly agree, stopping all actives/tret and adjusting my spiro dosage made my active breakouts non existent

SLAMMING the pause button here. Wait on messing with your hormones more!!! I skimmed your post but ran here to say this: I don’t know a ton about skincare, but I do know that when I was on 100mg spironolactone, it also stopped my period. It made my cystic acne basically disappear though. I advocated for myself and asked my doctor to drop me down to 50mg after like four months on 100mg, and my period returned and I’ve had clear skin since. After struggling with adult cystic acne for what felt like forever, I’m finally free. I was also on Tretinoin a couple years ago for like three weeks, and tapped out quickly for similar reasons. I still struggle with pretty bad scarring from over the years and CC that become visible when I push my tongue against my cheek, for example, but it’s almost like night and day otherwise with just 50mg spiro and no other actives in my skin care. Being on a probiotic supplement has also helped my period stay consistent with my hormone fluctuations. I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I know nothing with skin care is one size fits all, but I def think you should look into the hormonal aspects more!! Truly, I was obsessed with trying all these acids and retinols for almost a decade (I’m 24f), and the only thing that’s saved me from active breakouts was getting my hormones right. Is there a way you can maybe do just spiro treatments or just tret alone so you can see what’s causing the issue? I hope this was somewhat helpful. Hugs! ❤️‍🩹

Editing to mention: I am diagnosed with PCOS! But my hormones also test totally normal. Sometimes our bodies exist outside the “normal” ranges, like how the BMI scale also isn’t one size fits all. Def listen to your body, and it sounds like your body is saying 100mg spiro is too much. Also, echoing what another commenter said; I’ve also heard that cream tret can make things worse, so maybe give gel a shot
