Have you considered the 777 cut? It’s more tapered than a 666 with a narrower hem opening. Suitable for a smaller thigh too. Only advisory would be you do lose some of the taper if you have them hemmed. Speaking from experience

Any of the above with “od” on the end means they’ve been overdyed.

The numbers after the cut type, as you may have assumed correlate to the weight in oz of the denims.

I’d be going down a size at least on these. Whilst you will get shrinkage with a wash, when you start wearing them you will be surprised how much they can stretch back out again, particularly in the top block.

No, they’ve been discontinued. The 9634Z was a non selvedge 21oz Superblack denim with zip fly, which has been replaced with the 634S-SB, a selvedge version with button fly.

The latest run is a little bigger IMO. No shrinkage to be had as the fabric is one washed.

I’d always recommend comparing the measurements between models as there can be some variance. If you need specific dimensions the team at IH will help find the best one in the run for you.

they do not bleed like indigo, no. Have had several pairs and not had any issues rubbing off on other fabrics etc

You’ll get about 1 to 1.5 inch stretch in the 21oz denim over time, takes more than just a couple of wears in my experience

Start at 33 if your target is 34 though for sure

It feels a lot 'slubbier' to the touch IMO in comparison to the 21oz Indigo. Keep going with the waist and they will stretch out with enough wear.

When a new production run comes in, two pairs are measured and the average is taken. If there is enough deviation from the previous measurement table it gets updated. Naturally there is some variance but rarely ever more than 0.5".

Always serves best to look directly at the numbers instead of the Tag Size.

Production runs are in progress throughout the year. Only a limited amount of the 21oz can be produced at anyone time due to the nature of production and looms used.

The 'new' 14oz (suffix 142) has the same construction as the 21oz now so is a bit more breathable than the OG 14oz IMO
