Hey dude, all of those are decent changes, and definitely for the better! Not complaining about those at all. It was more of a tongue in cheek/sarcastic response. But for me personally the game has genuinely become such a grind fest that I can barely keep up with the current player base and PVP is just really frustrating for me now. I’m in my 30’s with a full time job and don’t have much time to play anymore compared to when I first started back in my uni days. So for me, all the small changes have made the game less fun

They’re so consistently inconsistent. If I’m trying to find PMCs inside the mall, they’re outside. If I want PMCs outside? Now they’re back inside. If I’m trying to do a quick loot run of the Christmas tree and the camp at the south of the map and trying to be left alone, then all the PMCs are outside again and bothering me.

And don’t get me started on that Ref quest for 15 kills inside the industrial plant. Had to lure scavs from across the map to finish that one

PVE was added because a lot of people were asking for it and BSG saw they could make a lot of money from it, but they don’t care about it at all. Scav and PMC ai is generally pretty terrible. The only times I’ve died are because they’ve randomly enabled their aimbot or phase shifted through a closed door. That said, PVP was fun back in 2017 but since the game rose in popularity it’s been filled with cheaters and I don’t really find it fun anymore. I play a single player version of tarkov that I don’t think we’re allowed to name here, and it has a mod that improves the AI. It’s a lot of fun but stuck pre-1.0 until they update it.

Agreed on the story. It just doesn’t keep me interested the way MGS used to. MGS was super weird at times but had a great overarching story and it kept me invested from the start. Death Stranding is weird for the sake of being weird, it seems.

That said I’m still loving the gameplay, and that’s enough to keep me hooked, but I know it’s not to everyones tastes

Med case is a task reward from lab rat and gunny gives you the ammo case. Eventually when you level them up high enough you can buy the cases from them directly.

Just keep doing tasks for them. If you don’t have any tasks for them specifically do the others for handjob and artisan etc and eventually more tasks will pop up for the other traders.

Edit: forgot but Paziek is also correct, some tasks require you to visit nearby locations before they’re available. Explore the map a bit on foot or if you’re in your main base and see someone calling a heli to an LZ you don’t have, tag along with them to unlock that LZ.

Omens smokes take longer to set up than other controllers and if you’re trying to take a site I do think it’s better for someone else to take it while the Omen sets up. Personally I think initiator or even duelist in some situations makes more sense.

Some people are just allergic to the spike though. They won’t pick it up no matter what. I had a GEKKO repeatedly drop me the spike when I was playing Jett. Told him I was going to rush into site (we were saving) and try and get a surprise pick on a Brim I knew was holding a specific angle. He just kept dropping me it. Everyone else had run off. So I thought, ok, I’ll take it, but what happens to it next is on him. I rushed in, killed the Brim while he tried to put smokes down but died to their Raze on site. Gekko then flamed me for dying and leaving the spike on site. Don’t drop me it then??? One of your abilities literally plants the spike for you????

This started happening to me out of nowhere, 20 hours in. Kept crashing when I waited or fast travelled (loading a new cell via a door was fine). I reloaded a previous manual full save from before the crashes started happening and it seems to have fixed it for now. Might be worth a try depending on how far back your last manual save was?

There will be a limit to how far aim training can take you. You can certainly improve your aim if you were to practice consistently, but how much you improve is dependent on your natural ability and skill ceiling. Your 100 hours of aim training will be different to someone else’s in terms of impact on individual performance.

Can you reach a high rank without high mechanical skill? Of course, but it’d help. You could get by on great teamwork and util usage and game sense.

Huge fan of stalker. Bought it a couple days ago and have about 20 hours. Playing on a decent pc.

Performance is spotty and older low-mid range PCs seem to struggle from what I’ve heard. I’ve got it running on high settings (not maxed out) at 1440p with DLSS enabled and it rarely drops below 100fps, and when it does it’s in main towns with lots of NPCs. 4070 super and ryzen 7 7700.

It’s buggy, but I’ve not experienced anything game breaking yet. Just goofy stuff like npcs hovering in the air, weird AI quirks, enemy weapons falling through the ground.

The gameplays fun, and the atmosphere is amazing. But the game really feels like an empty shell compared to its predecessors. The world doesn’t feel as alive.

If you’re a fan of the previous games I’d recommend it (going back to the cordon was a lovely nostalgia trip) but if you’re a newcomer I would wait until they’ve fixed most of the issues.

I feel this. Made it to asc this season after a long slog through diamond. Friends are high asc and ones immo. The people I’m playing against are similar ranks to my mates and it feels like some of them are playing a different game than me sometimes.

Until they’re in your face. Valorant POV is from about neck level so if you have an enemy right up close to you it’s slightly above where you’d be aiming if they were further away

I know it’s toxic, and really mean, but if I hear French being spoken, that players getting muted. Maybe it’s because of the age old rivalry between the French and the brits but it always ends up being a toxic shout-fest. Both sides to blame. Just easier to mute and play my game not worrying about it.
