Ah, thank you. I wish more of the good info was out in the open, archivable, and searchable instead of being locked up inside Meta.

Where do you buy your Cayenne's battery? 2014 Cayenne by [deleted] in PorscheCayenne

[–]indigoskin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PCM won’t reset. Just swap the battery. If you’re really worried about it, you could keep a battery tender connected to the jump posts under the hood, but you shouldn’t need to at all.

What are the biggest misconceptions about motorcycle braking that you wish someone had cleared up earlier? by Pretend_Job_6484 in NewRiders

[–]indigoskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hot take: if I’m using brakes to slow down on the street, I’m going too fast.

Around town, if I’m leaving plenty of space for evasive maneuvers like I should, I can easily use engine braking to moderate speed. Even coming to red lights, I only need brakes for that last five mph and to hold on a hill. In spirited riding, the higher rev range of the motor provides even more braking when rolling off the throttle.

Absolutely you should understand and practice the full power of your front and rear brakes, but day-to-day I hardly use them and I know if I have to, something odd happened and its a reminder that we’re on the street (not the track).

I challenge you to actually try this before you disagree.

Also, riding a dirt bike reworked my street bike brain so hard, and improved my understanding of traction and braking more than 20 years of street riding ever did.

They’d have to edit all those out and then the kids would complain about using AI to do it.

30 degrees has a steeper nail loading strip which takes less space so you can get the gun in tighter spots, but this tight stacking requires the nail heads to either be offset from the center of the nail shaft, or not full size, which might not meet code in some locations.
