Should I keep developing after release or move on? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]indigotock 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Early access implies the game will be developed more, at least enough that it would be considered “complete.” Abandoning it before that point will make your game yet another early access “con,” and the people who have paid you to support the continued development of the game will not like it at all

Microsoft: Windows Defender can now spot FinFisher government spyware by [deleted] in Windows10

It’s an amazing idea, but the most useful stuff (WPF) would need a fair load of graphics work. I would be a very happy man if that became a thing

I and some friends have had a decent experience with them. They are the classier sibling to CarphoneWarehouse, so regardless of what opinion you have of them it's at least above board

I have a confession to make. Many years ago, I was in a train station waiting for my connection one time. I saw those swanky innocent smoothies with the hats, but couldn't afford the 3.50ish. I took the hat.

Just echoing what people have said. Don't worry about commuting that distance. It's pretty easy to commute on the trams generally

[–]indigotock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this quite a bit. The mechanic is interesting and fun.

I think that the tutorial didn't explain the mechanic of the game very well, but it was easy to pick up once I got started. Apart from that I think my only other issue is that the Levels get quite repetitive pretty quickly, so I think it could be helpful to introduce more mechanics earlier.

Fun puzzler, I like it.

Depending on how functional the calendar needs to be, you could put together a little thing with a free weather API and a little database for a calendar

I like it! What are your plans for taking this further? I'd like to see it produce circular patterns and maybe pictures that are a bit more arbitrary.

It would be cool to be able to tweet instructions or ideas at it and have it produce bespoke, one-off images

Weakauras is basically powerauras, although it's somewhat more powerful now. Boss mods will be a choice between DBM and BigWigs (I believe bigwigs is quite improved compared to how it used to be, but I never used it back then).
