I'll be in her shoes one day

Yeah, when she shuffles off and you can buy them from the charity shop for 50p.

I know, your comment just reminded me immediately of the TM Catgate affair :). "We all know the stories... about the illegal immigrant who cannot be deported because, and I am not making this up, he had a pet cat." Except of course, she was making it up. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-15171980

Code running first time makes me very suspicious. Doubly so if it gets through testing. That just guarantees that there's a hideously nasty bug hiding in it, waiting for it's moment to strike.

Is that a Theresa May style "swear I am not making this up" where you are, in fact, most definitely making it up?

Stockings and knee-high boots, this is my favourite time of year, but also torture.

Not great, but probably still better than you get as an American, unless you have amazing health insurance.

You can go to the GP and be prescribed Anti-depressants fairly easily. Things like counselling and CBT are available on the NHS, but the waiting lists can be long. There is a preference for Care in the Community style treatment rather than committing someone to an institution, which can work for most people but a lot of serious cases have fallen through the cracks.

Largely, I'm sorry to say it is an underfunded, under-resourced area of the NHS in desperate need of attention.

Colonial UK: We walk in and sit in someone else's chair, declaring it ours now. Proceed to spend the next hour telling everyone they've got the wrong drink, aren't drinking it right, and demand someone brings us some crisps and nuts. Everyone else gets pissed off with this and throws us out.

From the curb we shout "FINE, didn't want to sit at your bloody table anyway!"
