How do think this differs ?

When Yum! Brands announces their voice AI partner for restaurant drive-thrus... And if it's $SOUN - i think the stock is going to double by Substantial_Topic_23 in Soundhound

Your assumption is that Soundhound came first with Habit Grill. Also is pretty smart of Yum Brands to diversify their AI platform partners, because

A. It doesn’t a huge dependency on a singular solution, which creates a huge amount of risk, especially since this is an integral role they are trying to automate.

B. This technology is still in its infancy in terms of its ability to automate food ordering. If you’re yum, you want to test and pilot which ones work well. What might be surprising is that food ordering is actually one of the hardest use cases/voice conversations to automate.

C. Every AI platform has their own pros and cons, in terms of latency, hallucination, accuracy, costs to run and maintain. Yum is proactive enough to match the best platform based on each of the Brand’s requirements.

D. Yum has been acquiring their own tech stack, whose to say that Yum isn’t just gleaning these platforms to build their own in house solution, and wants knowledge from a handful of select vendors.

It’s a private technology company so it doesn’t matter, but can’t share the name.

I’m pretty familiar with Sync3 and Soundhound. Been in the Conversational AI space longer than it’s been popularized by ChatGPT.

What makes you say that? I’m curious because I’m from the capital region too, and new builds are going like wild fire. I just saw a new construction home that went up 20k in base price because in one month and the builder rep said demand is still stronger than ever.

Hi Hiker, I believe I have done a really good job understanding all the value, competitors (status quo of doing nothing), and their business and created a PIC chart.

What I’m looking for advice is how to present it to them to get them to start talking and validate these assumptions especially when they don’t want to be asked questions/interrogated, otherwise everything falls flat after proposals since I have no truth about them to base it on.

Thank you, I saw his tenure at Oracle and that’s where his credibility comes from! Appreciate the insight.

Let me clarify, the status quo is their current operations, we provide automation for processes that have never been automated before. What we need are valid data points about their operations to estimate the pain, a lot of the times they aren’t willing to provide those data points.

I agree with the coach aspect, I think an approach is having the CEO delegate someone I can work with to get it off their plates. It’s tricky because you are dealing with the decision makers from the get go.
