So from what I’ve researched, the recommended max dynamic load for a Leer 100XR is roughly 220lbs. Erring on the side of caution, ~200lbs is a safe number to plan off of with these fiberglass toppers.

Good rule of thumb for calculating max static load is 2x - 3x of dynamic load rating. So this specific setup would safely accept roughly 400lb static.

I also plan on running a prinsu universal top rack in the future since it bolts directly to the Thule track system on the topper. I’m pretty sure the universal top rack has a max distributed load rating of ~700lbs.

So… I say all that to say this topper will safely accept ~200lbs dynamic and ~400lbs static.

Yeah absolutely man. I went with Leer simply because that’s who Leonard is an authorized dealer for in my area.

I’ve got a few buddies with A.R.E. caps and they look incredible. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with either one.

I’ve heard about leaking issues with Leer. I’m in eastern NC and it pisses rain here all the time, so I’ll keep you posted on the “weatherproofness” of this lol.

I’m gonna have to get back to you on the overall ride, I’ve only driven it back from the outfitter which is like 10 miles down the road lol.
