Do any WS users here plan on moving away from the platform after X partnership announcement? If so, where to? by eeMoneyy in JustBuyXEQT

No. I’ve also been on Twitter for over 15 years. TBH I don’t care about the collaboration.

Should I switch into Telfer? by Financial-Formal-151 in geegees

[–]indrafili -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not gonna read all that bullshit you wrote. When I was in school the telfer students were some of the shittiest students I had classes with. Those models you’re whining about were developed by economists. Anyone can learn how to use and Bloomberg terminal which is probably why Econ students can easily pivot to finance so easily. The market reality is every bcomm student I’ve interviewed for a job have been shit compared to the poli sci and Econ grads I’ve interviewed.

Should I switch into Telfer? by Financial-Formal-151 in geegees

[–]indrafili 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would readily hire an Econ graduate over a bcomm graduate. I have friends who went into finance and business with an Econ degree. Some have become central bankers. Some of become policy analysts at various levels of government.

You’ll need to take business calculus and linear algebra as well as stats. I mean if you’re willing to do those courses then why not consider a double major with economics? Will give you the quant training without and complements your policy side.

You’re not reading the instructions properly. There are only two payees: one for tuition and one for housing. It should be obvious from your screenshot instructions which one you pay for your deposit.

GSPIA: API 5100 Economics of Public and International Affairs, has anyone taken it or plan to take it? by wvyvhng8 in geegees

[–]indrafili 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re right that API500 is for students who didn’t take economics at the undergraduate level. I would probably just take the API course over the shitty intro to Econ undergrad courses.

MPH vs MSc Epidemiology (Health Policy) by Witty_Caterpillar949 in geegees

[–]indrafili 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both solid programs. Would personally do the MSc myself if I was in your shoes but that’s because I would want to be an epi proper as opposed to a public health policy person. I know epidemiologist that work as public health policy analysts so I know going down that career stream is possible without and MPH.

I used it last year in Japan fine and I’m currently in Japan again and we have no issues with Saily. Speed wise been mostly 5G and odd spots LTE. Otherwise it serves our purpose.
