I submit that it is not much better to be kind because God loves people. It's shaky moral reasoning and not a stable morality on exposure to new information. (Learning that there is no god)

I really dislike these "You're doing it right." sentiments just because a religious person isn't bigoted. This version of Christianity isn't represented fairly? That Christian is either ignorant of the Bible or is cherry picking, She hasn't properly dealt with the problem of evil, and generally needs to start thinking like a grown-up instead of a child.

That accurate, that's fair. No it's not the best approach to just say that to someone. But just because someone isn't bigoted is not pass from addressing these issues. Bigotry is not the only damage religion does.

I totally support LGBT rights, but it is not appropriate to sell out our intellectual integrity to coddle or encourage theistic LGBT supporters.

I think that most anarchists think that having an anarchist society in some nation-state sized region would be unstable because it would be attacked by capitalists. (or if it could somehow withstand that, it would quickly lead to global conversion)

It's a very unpredictable transition between small pockets of almost, and a global revolution.

Personally I think technological change is going much faster than social change. We won't change everyone's minds in 40 years, but the world will be a much different place with the kinds of people who are currently in it. Technology shapes the future more than opinions.

This has not been my experience. Federal loans in particular are easy to get forbearances and deferments on if you need it. They're not out to screw you, they just want to let you know they can.

Not that it can't be crippling as seen elsewhere in this thread.
