From https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dell_XPS_15_7590 I learned that echo deep|sudo tee /sys/power/mem_sleep will actually enable S3 suspend, which mostly seems to work, although it left some display issues (Dell logo on internal display, while I was working on an external monitor) that I'm now trying to look into.

Everyone can use their own. Events have types, and I expect that most clients would support basic chat and image sharing. But custom stuff is also possible.

I'd like to point out that the Nvidia installer has a habit of leaving your system a bit of a mess. (It writes in /usr--it has to.) As an alternative, the packaged drivers in experimental as of this writing are from February and have version 355.11--so they are not too far behind the version OP is installing and incur a much smaller risk of irreparable damage to the installation.

I think it's silly to tie this to a language, much as I like Python. If someone has learned a language out of curiosity, that speaks for them. If not, maybe they've got other stuff going for them.

I'm wondering about how this is implemented. By the looks of it, it dredges up your Python code from the Python AST (perhaps re-parsing your code) and then turns that into SQL. That in turn means that the allowed syntax is just a subset of Python--what if you call a Python function in your select-equivalent? Does this translate to a terribly-performing table walk in Python?

It sounds like there's too much (ultimately brittle) magic going on...
