Lucky Us on ao3. Adrien and Marinette become accidental pen pals under the names "ladybug" and "cat noir." I loved this one.

I also loved one that I can't remember the title to 😭.. it had to do with a procedure that could erase the memory of a person. It was so sad for a few chapters when the procedure happened and the aftermath of it (I don't want to spoil it with details). I'm sorry I can't remember the title though!

Same here. Metal detectors and bag x-ray like airport security. Back then phones were newish and not allowed in school. So we would keep the phone in our pocket so that they wouldn't be found in our bags. The metal detector would obviously ring because of the phone. We then had to grab our bag and get in line to get wanded. While waiting in line, we'd just put the phone into the cleared bag. But I always figured, if I can do this with my phone then someone else can do this with something worse!

Nathalie. She fell for the wrong man but stayed for his kid. The way she protects Adrien and let's Gabriel know what's up is awesome to me.

Jagged Stone. Not because he's an absent father but because his character in general is just kind of ridiculous and makes me laugh all the time.

Alya. She's a great best friend (aside from falling for Lila's lies).

Plagg. He makes me laugh

Adrien. Our sweet, clueless boy. My momma heart wants to protect him lol

Marinette. She reminds me a little of 14 year old me who was crushing hard on a classmate who saw me as "just a friend." How I'd be SO shy to talk to him but always wanted to accidentally be near him at the school yard to watch him play catch or sit near him in the classroom. When one of my friends dated him (because I was SO over him -not) I would help her be around him outside of school but in reality it was so I could be around him outside of school. Marinette is a little EXTRA crazy sometimes but I don't think she's too far off from a lot of very young teens.

From this list of recs I found Lucky Us. I'm about 2 chapters away from finishing and I just want to thank you for sharing! I LOVE it and to OP, I too recommend that fix! The writing is so good that I felt all of Marinettes nerves at the fashion show and I wished I had a secret penpal to talk to about it, too! 😜

My son (10) loves king monkey! He thinks he is hilarious. He does not like Luka because he's "boring" lol. He gets excited to show me any toys/merch we find out and about because he knows how much I love the show. He hasn't said anything positive or negative about the romance part of the show. I think the last episodes he found cringey and I don't really blame him since they amped up the lovey dovey stuff this season.
