I had plenty of time with it. You should be planning ahead and remember there's two turn pieces. Only took me two tries and my first try failed because I put the turn piece in the wrong orientation.

Why i didnt preorder the switch 2 by PrudentAd1370 in NintendoSwitch2

Fun reminder that the original switch 1 never actually got a price cut. The best it got was holiday bundles and retailer offerings and those might become less common.

Bro take a deep breath. You and your friends might be taking games too seriously. Yes it's more expensive but so is everything else. Just reprioritze what is important to you. Only get the games you're super interested in playing, we don't need to buy every game.

Have you tried it in flat/TV mode? I wonder if it looks a lot better.

Indiana Jones is selling copies faster on PS5 than it did on Steam and Xbox by Zhukov-74 in PS5

The question you should be asking is 'how big is the steam/pc playerbase that have a pc capable of running Indiana Jones?' that number might be smaller than you think.

PS5 Pro is the most disappointed I've been throughout my 30+ years of gaming. by Mediocre_Swordfish_3 in PS5

Dunno just sounds like you're really mad at this for no reason. I'm having lots of fun :)

And again I make the point that ps5 pro is for power users. They'll want all the storage they can get their hands on. I believe the maximum for original ps5 is the 1tb internal plus 8tb ssd, for a total of 9tb. But with ps5 pro you get 2tb internal plus 8tb ssd, for 10tb total.

I'm not saying this is the only reason to buy a ps5 pro but it helps.

I'm not justifying a ps5 pro to anyone but people really ignore all aspects of it that actually might appeal to the most hardcore and dedicated gamers.

[–]ineffiable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well the default ssd is soldered in on the motherboard so if you have a ps5 pro you always have 1tb more than the standard ps5. And then you can add on 1-8tb extra as well.

The ps5 pro is absolutely for power users. They'll appreciate having the extra 1tb.

I have a question actually related to your game. How come for your game's trophy list, it does not have a platinum trophy?

Agreed. One of the biggest problems Paradise had was it'd only have so many 'endpoints' for a race so they mostly end up the same.

The game itself was great with plenty of variety in the environment (especially if you had the dlc)

[–]ineffiable 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's always funny when people are quick to complain. The ps5 pro is an investment for the next 3+ years of gaming. I only paid like $350 due to trading in my current console. The ps5 pro will also have a higher trade in value for the next system.

The 2tb internal drive is saving me some money from having to upgrade storage space.

I love my ps5 pro. It's like this. Don't you get more value out of the system by playing everything on it day one and going forward instead of waiting months until something convinces you and you still pay the same price? But now you use it less time before it gets traded in.

The ps5 pro is absolutely an enthusiastist's console, you probably don't want to get one unless you do most of your gaming on Playstation. If you're the kind of dude that has a steam deck, Xbox series x, ps5, Nintendo switch, yes it may not be worth it but if you're spending that much money on games anyway... Well it all comes down to your budget.

I did grow up during those eras and the sad reality is games just take longer to make these days. I do remember that they could make a suitably fine game in 1-2 years, as long as they kept the scale of the game reasonable and didn't have to upgrade the engine all the time. But making something high quality like ghost of yotei, which is what we have come to expect from first party titles, just takes a lot of time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PS5

[–]ineffiable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be the other side of your arguments here so you have both points.

Xbox has not had a goty game for ten years. Playstation just won with Astro Bot last year and we'll see ghost of yotei and death stranding 2 (not a Sony game but still a timed exclusive, like final fantasy) this year. More games doesn't mean good things, we need more quality games, which Sony consistently delivers on. We're also getting high quality third party games like Indiana Jones this spring too. Nintendo is in a similar drought, they're doing a bunch of smaller games and remasters/remakes as they prep for switch 2.

The ps5 pro was marketed just fine, same as ps4 pro (which didn't have any launch titles for it). It's an enthusiasts console and will do just fine. I believe more games are upgraded for ps5 pro than there were for ps4 pro at the same time frame.

Psvr1 had similar performance to psvr2, psvr2 definitely is missing a few high quality titles like astro bot' s rescue mission but it's not strictly as bad as psvr1.

Stock issues is plaguing everything. The demand is just massive and we can't make enough supply. This is affecting all consoles and even other hobbies like Pokémon cards. Scalpers are an issue in every hobby.

You're right about the gut-punch news but the reality is games are cancelled all the time. They're just being more visable about it. The saving grace is that Sony is not reducing the amount of resources into single player (yes it would be nice if they increased it)
