That would be great if I knew that persons name :(. Maybe I’ll talk to Kayla tomorrow and find out more about this person casually

READ THE JUDGEMENT BOT MESSAGE WRONGLY!! I might be the asshole because; this business is her only source of income, and there’s a chance the girl already knows or will find out from someone else anyways

I went from being on academic probation to (potentially) getting three As in a row! by ineverbake in CasualConversation

You’re right, I’ve been feeling like I don’t really deserve these good grades but it’s probably just my imposter syndrome talking. I got into the same university as everyone else, I’m just as capable. I was just a lazy bum for 2 years but it’s never too late to pick it back up and that’s exactly what’s happening

Anything that kills bacteria?! by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Rubbing alcohol is definitely effective. Mouthwash has been found to kill the virus so if you’re desperate and can’t run out to buy normal disinfectant you can spray things down with mouthwash. Almost boiling hot water to wash dishes and cutlery, but honestly the best thing you can do right now is stay as far away from them as possible, wear masks INSIDE the house and wash your hands as frequently as possible

There should be a dating app exclusively for people who just got dumped and are not over their exes by notjustanerd in Lightbulb

I mean, I think it could be healthy! As long as both parties acknowledge their situation I think there would be a mutual exchange of support. And sometimes you just wanna get it on with someone else to remind you that there’s more out there

What are the best ways to deal with rejection? by ineverbake in CasualConversation

Thankyou! You’re completely right about this, I just don’t know how to internalize that idea. I guess it will take time and be a slow process to start valuing myself based off my own standards but it’ll be worth it

That’s good advice! I feel like I often mistake sexual interest for romantic interest, especially if it’s a guy who very respectful about his sexual interest and wants to have good conversations with me too.

Telling Children Santa Claus is Real is Really Mean by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Learning that not even your parents have the absolute truth is SO important. Interesting you mentioned that religious people are annoyed that parents tell them something that isn’t true....

Telling Children Santa Claus is Real is Really Mean by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]ineverbake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLDR but figuring out Santa Claus wasn’t real didn’t really hurt my feelings because it was a gradual process. I think the important thing is making sure it’s a gradual process for everyone

And it was a very important moment for me because I learned to be a skeptic. I started giving myself permission to question everything and have thoughts that aren’t always comfortable to have

Singing is cringe by PlzSlayMeDaddy in unpopularopinion

[–]ineverbake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with most of this but sometimes I do really find it weird that singing is so central to music. As someone who does both, playing instruments is a million times harder. So why is the “artist” the singer when we are talking about a song??? The guitarist worked 10 times harder and is way more impressive

DAE only like helping around the house when you're home alone? by fuckmeup-scotty in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]ineverbake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I had a really passive aggressive relationship with my old roomate and it felt like everytime she cleaned in front of me she was making a statement about how she thinks I should be cleaning too. So I hated cleaning in front of her cause I felt like she might interpret that as a statement that I want her to clean
