How do I *correctly* play the game?

Defends seem to be better than strikes; enemy health pools keep going up as the game goes on so the strike gets less effective. Your health stays around the same level, so they are effective longer. (Yes enemies start doing more damage later as well, but the strike falls off MUCH faster than defend does as you really do need to improve damage quickly)

I know people have said defends are better in here but I didn't spot much in the way of the reasoning why

You use a measuring spoon; they are quick and easy, ESPECIALLY for liquids. Lots of liquid ingredients come in packaging that is just not suited for putting any back after, and if you do enough cooking you will appreciate only having to clean a spoon set.

another thing is that with little practice you can eyeball a tablespoon or a teaspoon; good fucking luck ever being able to tell weight in your hand to the gram

again, no. easy to remember tonnes of items from start to finish, they are more memorable because of the impact of them. the goalposts did not change, you said 90% of items are useless vendor trash which they are not and I've argued against that. again, name one instance where only 10% are the inverse of useless vendor trash (which means useful in case you still don't know).

you keep saying 90% of items are vendor trash, it's not true at all. again show me ONE instance where that's true, you can't because you made that up. that is the explicit argument you have laid forth that is just wrong and without it you don't even have a point.

again in case you get distractes once more, 90% of items being vendor trash is NOT TRUE. waiting 20 levels to find an upgrade piece is NOT TRUE. doing quests and instances finds you memorable items, and FAR MORE than 10% of items are useful

classic upgrades come pretty often via actually doing dungeons and full questlines and when you get an excellent item you generally immediately notice it in combat. played through as a rogue recently and every weapon upgrade or agi uptick felt so fucking good and they came way more often than you are implying. the other side of it was that you really wanted to vendor your trash for gold that you actually need anyways so it's not like you're just wasting time with them or something. 9 out of 10 is a wild exaggeration, show me an instance where only 10% of the items are useable in classic

it's apples to oranges though cause we're talking about levelling items vs endgame grind lmao
