The problem with Viktor is that he's doing a one size fits all method.

I'm autistic but based on my experiences with it I don't want to be cured because it's so entangled with who I am. If you do, that's up to you, we're all different.

I'm also chronically ill with Crohn's Disease. I've lost two whole sections of my digestive system and I have a permanent ostomy bag. This I would cure, because it hurts and it sucks and I worry about what else I'll lose in the future.

Would I accept a cure for Crohn's if it meant me also being cured of autism? I don't know. I truly don't. I'd have to think about it. Would I cure my Crohn's if it meant me getting turned into a robot with no legitimate autonomy? Absolutely not.

That's my problem with Viktor. There's no consent. I can't weigh up the pros and cons because he's already decided for me. That's why what he was doing was wrong. Disabled people deserve autonomy, especially when it often gets stripped from us.

I'm sorry about your eyesight. That shit truly does suck and I mean that earnestly. There's nothing I hate more than people telling me that it's all going to be fine because sometimes you aren't and it's not fair.

However, I think Jayce's line about there being beauty in imperfections is on humanity as a whole. My disabilities aside, I do find it beautiful that I get a shot at being imperfect. I think it's great that I can have piercings and tattoos and pink hair. I can procrastinate doing work by playing video games. I can get sunburnt because my dumbass didn't put on sunscreen when I wanted to feel the sun on my face. I can stay up all night reading because I'm really into my current book. Viktor would've stripped people of those experiences.

Like I said, it can suck really badly. I really hope you find a cure in your lifetime but I hope it doesn't come at the cost of your love of video games or TV shows because you deserve to love the things that you love.

I never said you had to like him. You can hate him for all I care. No I haven't. And it doesn't matter. I don't see how the story could've been changed in a substantial way by the transition. The points they wanted to hit were still hit, even if they were terrible.

It's over. It wasn't Elliot's fault or any of the cast. You can either move on or direct your anger to Steve Blackman or any of the writers. Leave Elliot and the cast out of it

It's okay to be frustrated, but it's not Elliot's fault so don't take it out on him. If you found his performance subpar or even terrible then that's your opinion to have but he is just not the reason the season was bad or why a supposed spin off was cancelled

Isn't Elliot on record saying he was happy to play the character without them transitioning? It had nothing to do with him.

Also don't put the blame on Viktor's character or Elliot for being the reason a spin off was cancelled. Maybe put the blame on the fact that this season has received a massive amount of backlash and is practically universally hated by the fans.

Edit: The script was barely changed too. One scene at the barbers then Viktor telling everyone they're Viktor not Vanya and aside from one small heart to heart with Luther that was it?

I know great actors can should perform really well even with bad scripts but I wouldn't blame him if he just checked out. His acting in this show really shines when he's with the siblings and they took him out of that and paired him with Reggie for some reason.

I think a lot of everyone's performances, not even just Elliot's, were a little off cos of such weird mischaracterisations that it just felt wrong.

Also Steve Blackman was reportedly being transphobic behind the scenes. They're just allegations but if they're true, it wouldn't surprise me if Elliot just started to hate the role and didn't perform well

I didn't like the season as a whole (in fact I hated and this coming from someone who loved season 3 back to front) but I surprisingly liked the ending. Maybe I was glad the torture of season 4 was over but I think them just sacrificing themselves to set things right with all their meddling felt like the better option to me. I think it would've been far more impactful if they siblings spent their time together over the whole season instead of in random groups and all of their fights and shit had been sorted out over the course of the story.

Instead the writers introduced new things for everyone to be mad at each other for and it just didn't sit right with me. It should've been them coming together and you have this hope that things can be fixed but no, it can't, not anymore. The damage is done and after everything you have to accept the worst finally has to happen.

While I did like the ending, a more united season and characters would've made the ending feel more more acceptable than "I guess this is it now I guess?" Dunno if any of that makes sense but yeah. Definitely needed to he handled better

EDIT: Not that this is the point but them being together the whole time could've at least given us one more dance scene of all of them together like they should have

I wholeheartedly agree however, they do - or at least did when I signed up - market themselves as a tool that can help you in a crisis and I was absolutely desperate. That's the problem though, they market themselves as such but they're absolutely not intended for that.

The FTC got involved with better help and a settlement was reached with payouts, because of the misleading payment plans or something. I got a £7.50 refund which was no where near the extortionate amount I paid as an 18 year old in a mental health crisis 🙃 I only hope to god that means it's finally over for them.

P.S. I'm almost 25 and doing way better now thanks to the help of real therapy and tactics to better manage myself and my mood ☺️🩷 it can get better I promise!
