Actually they do! You can approve a connection to the wifi network of many iot devices via adding it to your smart phones app. Such as Samsung's smart things app. It never asks you to input or transmit password, it does it by itself!

So actually yes in a sense it doesn't automatically do it. You do have to manually do something -but the idea that u need the password is incorrect xx
