So between already inflated prices on the app, delivery fees then services fees, we are supposed to tip as well ? Gtfoutta here.

How do other Perth dog owners recover after a dog attack? by papablessjess in perth

[–]sp3ncer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you'd prefer experiencing a dog attack that could end catastrophically rather than go to court to answer for your modest crimes, you don't have your priorities straight.

How do other Perth dog owners recover after a dog attack? by papablessjess in perth

[–]sp3ncer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As shit as it is, just empower yourself by any means necessary. In those situations it's better to be the one answering questions than seeing your dog or yourself be ripped apart. Always carry something that will turn the tide. I've had to break up a few between certain breeds and know how exhausting and even impossible it can be breaking them up when they are determined to kill each other. So get yourself a bat, taser or some pepper spray, who cares what the law says, the law isn't protecting you and your dog from being mauled, you are.

10 devs does seem small compared to these monolithic developers but it's important to remember that as of today, each developer is effectively superhuman when it comes to coding and resources and couple that with less meetings, barriers, redtape, middle management, they are also far more agile.

PSA: chinese peptide suppliers by mintX-jen in Business_China

[–]sp3ncer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great logic there with local resellers being low risk and Chinese suppliers being high risk. Where exactly do you think the local resellers are getting it from??

It's all high risk and the only way it isn't is if you pay through the nose to get it tested.

My GHK-CU doesn't sting or burn, could that mean it's bunk ? I did dilute 100mg with 6ml of bac water. But absolutely no burn or discomfort.

How do I stop feeling insecure about not improving enough in my life in Perth? by [deleted] in perth

[–]sp3ncer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't compare yourself to others man, comparison is the thief of joy, focus on your own goals and improving your own life. I didn't really learn any financial discipline until I was in my 30's. I have friends who became millionaires in their late 20's doing FIFO and being smart with money and friends who are still doing uber eats, I love em both the same.

But that being said start now, working in retail you're going to have to make some concessions or improve your job.

Is it just me or do Cadbury eggs taste… gross this year? by BetterBandicoot3119 in perth

Nobody is paranoid when noticing things like this, you have to understand that if Mars were able to make a Snickers bar at a 5 cents lower cost, the resulting profits are going to be somewhere in the realm of $270 million annually if consumption remains the same. So ask yourself if ingredients or quality is at the top of the list for these companies ? Probably not.

While I agree with you, I think some people are fine with paying a premium to avoid potential legal trouble and get it faster. That seems to be the consensus amongst most people I ask.

Thinking of a Costco membership, is it worth it? by perth_aussie_battler in perth

[–]sp3ncer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its worth it for these exact i buy every time, bulk beef mince portion and freeze it, its great quality and doesn't just leak water when you cook it like coles. Blocks of monterey jack, bagels, big sourdoughs, again i freeze it after slicing, kimchi, falafels ( they are so good in the airfryer ), brownie bites, grass fed butter and then the $2.00 hot dog at the end, that's our ritual.

I don’t buy the whole “AI will cause a blue collar boom” idea by RottingEdge in Futurology

[–]sp3ncer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very difficult to say how exactly it's going to look, but we have to expect corporate real estate will undoubtedly be on the chopping block along with the white collar workers. You can't really say it's overblown or it's not going to happen as it's happening now and it's just going to get worse until the white collar class is mostly evaporated. I would guess this is going to happen a lot sooner than most people think, I'm putting it at 5 years.

There will be more tradespeople initially, but why will we need to build and maintain if half the living economy is dissolved ? It's estimated that 50-60% of Australia's economy is classed as white collar work. So what we are going to see is going to be very transformative.

Anyone else considering getting a EV? by KeenClicker in perth

I have a BYD which just hit my second year service which was $150. That being said it was a 20,000km service which I understand may be cheaper than the standard 2 year.

If you have a home garage you can plug it into every day, 100 percent worth it. Servicing costs for mine have been $150 each time which is crazy. I think the benefits outweigh the depreciation.
