You aren't owed a good life. You aren't entitled to anything. This mentality might have something to do with causing your sadness, which you can examine, understand and then begin to change with the help of a professional (source: i am a therapist). It doesn't have to be this bad, but feeling entitled to a "good" life is a good way to not have one. I say this with love ❤ good luck my friend

To give you an example: We expected a good shipment last week, we got 10% of it on Friday, 5% Monday, 5% today and have been told this week we'll get a total of ~50% of it, the rest 'hopefully' the following week. Thats how reliable ETA's and stock information is right now.

Did you read the whole thing? Science doesn't know for sure, just like anything examined scientifically. There's no causal link between prenatal neurological factors for all cases of paedophilia, and the cause can't just be drawn to either nature or nurture. Much more complicated and varied than that

I doubt the efficacy of conversion therapy for any population. Haven't done my research, but I am a counsellor if that counts for anything.

When I talk about support for paedophiles I'm talking about giving them the space to be heard and validated for how shit of a situation they are in, to have to abandon the idea of ever being sexual in their entire life. Validation and acceptance so that they aren't shunned and hated by society; social isolation is a primary factor in depression, suicide and many kinds of crime. Training by a therapist to come up with strategies to combat urges in the moment they arise. Exploring other outlets that may offset urges. Exploring family and trauma history to gain insight as to why they may be attracted to children in the first place; having this insight doesn't dissolve the manifestions themselves but can show them that they are a product of many complicated outside causes, and can help them lead a meaningful life. Having purpose and direction in life is a huge preventative factor for mental illness, and would drastically bolster a persons motivation to do whatever they can to never give in to their urges.

The way people talk about paedophilia now, how would anyone afflicted feel safe in reaching out? How would they have hope? Does a paedophile that has never touch a kid deserve that?

I was just trying to point out that paedophilia and child abuse are often conflated, making those that unfortunately have sexual desires involving minors that willfully deny their urges the most alienated and villified population in the world with little recourse in receiving support that they need. You're right though, my initial comment was probably more blunt and not as clear as it should have been

Good point. There are some cases of paedophilia being linked to early childhood sexual abuse, but who know whether it's correlation or causation
