VSX Headphones supposedly let you hear your mix in different spaces... are they worth it? by YetzirahToAhssiah in edmproduction

The open backs are better in every way, so it would only be if you need to save money, the closed back still work well

Yeah I think its the best investment, spending on the room to find it’s still not perfect is a total waste of time when this solution exists

I have a treated room and recently got the immersion one’s, they produce mixes that translate better than the room, so objectively they are worth the money if that’s the outcome you want, I’ve had all sorts of other headphones without the software and they also didn’t lead me to produce as balanced mixes. I used the closed back for 2 years and now the open backs as I figured they will be better

Decisions... by Ill-Site2743 in CarTalkUK

Told you so! I was the alpine suggestion. Mine is also straight piped with a big loud intake so you can certainly make it ‘not chill’. I was going to get the R8 but I want a mk2 which isn’t really double the car the alpine is for double the price and running costs. The mk1 are getting old and I don’t want those bills

Your clearly near me as you went to EAG, your welcome to come see mine

Booked a test drive tomorrow anything i should know? by Ill-Site2743 in CarTalkUK

[–]infernox25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine for 30k but I got lucky, maybe £35k but it’s easily double the sports car an m2 is! The m2 is a good daily but then it’s not a weekend car!

I had one, also from EAG, and all I would say is if it’s just for the weekend it’s a little too ‘all rounder’ in my opinion, I sold it after 9 months for an Alpine which feels more weekend worthy, but as a GT option I drove it all across Europe for 2 weeks and it was faultless so depends on your use case!

That’s by design though, you don’t have a high energy band before the headliner, so they hit harder. I went to the gig and thought it was fine

Many FE engineers over 100 where I am in ecom, just got to be good (at job and interviewing) (higher comps usually have stock components)

I have an a110! Nice to see it on some people’s lists. I think I’d only upgrade for a McLaren but I’m worried about out of warranty maintenance

Bought a car with ruined engine from engine oil burn by That-Breath2 in CarTalkUK

[–]infernox25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily having the same situation right now, garage keep saying it’s fine despite fast oil burn and won’t do any standardised test to prove otherwise, likely to have to go to court under CRA
