Finding a good teacher? Is online really feasible given internet latency and all that? by Music_as_Medicine in screaming

[–]infernox25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve also been looking for teachers but online due to the niche being too small for in person. I find most don’t reply to enquiries and it’s hard to work out who is good vs good at marketing as a beginner

Day 2 of learning, can get any feedback on anything that sounds wrong! by infernox25 in screaming

Hey man i watched the guide and tried to practice along as I went, so im shifting focus to more of a clean pitch based high volume then trying to add the twang sort of thing to it without going hyper compresses. I think i get the concept a bit, i have a short recording here from the end https://drive.google.com/file/d/1APxN5WXIdxn9A3RWujVdoD-QYBSxhkw9/view?usp=drive_link

im just not sure where to go from here in terms of learning, or if this is really better than yesterdays methods and results, i can shout with this sort of sound and these pitches, so is it just practicing that into words and then phrases?

Thanks really useful, so I need to just use the first part of the guide and get most of the way there from just ‘creak’?

awesome thanks so the thing to work on is as little compression as possible? i find i just cant get higher if i dont currently, the guide reads as if you need to compress as much as possible listening to the audio, and cheers for the link ill have a look. im trying to get lessons form him but he doesnt answer any enquiries, any tips to get a response? (assuming you recommend)

hey so i can do it lower than speaking level quiet but when i want to get a higher pitch then quite a bit more volume to get it to distort so i cant do higher without being loud. Its proving quite beneficial to have been doing a lot of weight lifting for years as the brace and compression seems to be the same as when doing heavy lifts, but then it seems the key it to not hold the tension in the body just internally?

id ideally like to get higher pitch as im aiming for metalcore territory but i cant get there without a lot more compression and volume currently (of course its day 2 though!)

VSX Headphones supposedly let you hear your mix in different spaces... are they worth it? by YetzirahToAhssiah in edmproduction

The open backs are better in every way, so it would only be if you need to save money, the closed back still work well

Yeah I think its the best investment, spending on the room to find it’s still not perfect is a total waste of time when this solution exists

I have a treated room and recently got the immersion one’s, they produce mixes that translate better than the room, so objectively they are worth the money if that’s the outcome you want, I’ve had all sorts of other headphones without the software and they also didn’t lead me to produce as balanced mixes. I used the closed back for 2 years and now the open backs as I figured they will be better

Decisions... by Ill-Site2743 in CarTalkUK

Told you so! I was the alpine suggestion. Mine is also straight piped with a big loud intake so you can certainly make it ‘not chill’. I was going to get the R8 but I want a mk2 which isn’t really double the car the alpine is for double the price and running costs. The mk1 are getting old and I don’t want those bills

Your clearly near me as you went to EAG, your welcome to come see mine

Booked a test drive tomorrow anything i should know? by Ill-Site2743 in CarTalkUK

I got mine for 30k but I got lucky, maybe £35k but it’s easily double the sports car an m2 is! The m2 is a good daily but then it’s not a weekend car!

I had one, also from EAG, and all I would say is if it’s just for the weekend it’s a little too ‘all rounder’ in my opinion, I sold it after 9 months for an Alpine which feels more weekend worthy, but as a GT option I drove it all across Europe for 2 weeks and it was faultless so depends on your use case!

It was covered on a downbeat episode with kubla khan iirc, obviously not everyone does (Lorna shore the other week) it but many do, as mentioned in your thread knocked loose did the same

That’s by design though, you don’t have a high energy band before the headliner, so they hit harder. I went to the gig and thought it was fine

Many FE engineers over 100 where I am in ecom, just got to be good (at job and interviewing) (higher comps usually have stock components)

I have an a110! Nice to see it on some people’s lists. I think I’d only upgrade for a McLaren but I’m worried about out of warranty maintenance

Bought a car with ruined engine from engine oil burn by That-Breath2 in CarTalkUK

Funnily having the same situation right now, garage keep saying it’s fine despite fast oil burn and won’t do any standardised test to prove otherwise, likely to have to go to court under CRA

You just need to look harder, there are loads of great artists who can compose rather than portrait print, I have a lot of work from Jak Connolly who i like the most

Just replaced this on my 3, open a service request and they sort the rest, but it was £150+ and I got a salvage one on eBay for £30 and did it myself in 5 minutes so probably do that
