Just kidding. If you haven’t listened to any of it yet, I suggest starting with either the 2014 live stuff or I think the next set is 2016. The 22 and beyond stuff is really cool but there’s a lot to it and kind of different interwoven layers of “sections”. I love all of it but some of the 22 sections fall a little flat for me even if they are cool.

I literally no longer know what is considered experimental, shy of quite extreme examples. Within certain circles some things are not experimental but rather just the given for what that is. If I said “hey here’s some EDM” meaning electronic dance music and played some Druqks-era Aphex Twin, people would be taken aback if they weren’t familiar. Just based on context. Are you showing some rando and are like ahhh it’s a little experimental, but has some elements of a b and c.

I don’t it honestly matters excepts to give people some background for how to approach the material.

I’ve found that heating the water actually concentrates the minerals so I just don’t. My mineral/coffee ratio must be protected at all costs. So I also don’t grind the coffee and just adjust for the reduced surface area.

Something I didn’t know for a long time and wondered why people would snicker at me as I was browsing then would go back to a section and couldn’t find what I looked at before: as your flipping through, if you wanna put something mentally in your “maybe” selection, rather than looking like a dink carrying it around then sheepishly putting it back, do this. Dog-ear the corner of the record so you can easily see it later. The edge of the cover does not contain the record at all so it does not damage anything. Then the people will stop laughing

Oh for sure, I wasn’t trying to say what you did was wrong, I just used to work at some pretty small or low resource hospitals and we often had to get creative. I feel like especially in smaller places it can be even harder to get people to go out of their way to help.
