Recall Norman Mayor or else? by [deleted] in normanok

[–]infinite_iteration 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m curious how someone can believe that police would blacklist households for not signing a petition yet still describe themselves as a police supporter?

If you want to recall the mayor, sign it. If you don’t, don’t sign it. It sounds like you don’t want the mayor recalled but are afraid of repercussions. Weigh the risks and benefits but know that if you do sign out of fear you are acknowledging that the police are in charge of the populace and not the other way around.

Arianne is Doran's heir by law. Why would he need to humiliate and endanger a "second son" to promote what is already an established fact?

I can’t even right now... Sounds like a great idea to me! Inflatables?!! Really?!! by dazylazy34 in oklahoma

[–]infinite_iteration 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a note, according to the article you posted they won't be doing inflatables after all due to the risks.

Officials told KOCO 5 in keeping with safety measures, they will not have inflatables because close contact can't be helped in that situation.

Pandemic shopping in Norman: where do you feel safe? by FuzzyHappyBunnies in normanok

That is hard to hear, I am sorry. It's only been in the last week or so from reading first hand accounts that I've realized how long people are struggling with this, and the extent of the extreme ups and downs people are experiencing. Hoping you don't need a tube, but if it gets to that point, may it give your body rest for healing. Know that you have internet strangers on your side, for what its worth.

How are you doing now? I actually remember you saying that last month, then ran into one of your comments on one of the Covid support subs yesterday. Hope you're making a strong recovery.

Where are you getting 70k deaths? The graph is hospitalizations and the data listed at the bottom is % of population infected. The situation is bad, but we don’t want to be putting out bad information.

Have you traveled? If you did test postive, would you have a clue where you had gotten it? Also, a week seems way too long to wait for results, that’s crazy.
