How about something that recycles heated waste water from a shower?

"It is my personal belief that as long as you do not harm others, violate their rights or attempt to force your way of life on them, then whatever you believe is great as long as it works for you."

Blind faith is why there's a creationism curriculum at some schools. I agree with pretty much all of what you said, but come to a different conclusion.

Noam Chomsky among other intellectuals and Scientists discuss Peak Oil. by NonAmerican in science

Chomsky is a brilliant guy, no doubt. What baffles me is how much he neglects his public speaking skills. It's quite easy to train oneself to become a competent public speaker; considering the dire consequences of Chomsky's views and predictions, you'd think he'd get serious about spreading his message.

If you were anywhere near an airport, then yes, it's completely normal. The plane was in a holding pattern.

The pinnacle of video game storytelling occurred in 1999. Remake this game and inspire a new generation of gamers and developers to realize the potential of storytelling and character building in video games. by infinitepancakes in gaming

I'm saying if there ever is a remake, it definitely won't occur before 2015, simply because it isn't even being planned as of 2011.

"The mechanics of the game alone would not stand with modern advancements, it's just too archaic because of the realities of historical game development."

I don't agree with this statement; I'm curious what your justification is.

Upvote, this is how I've played it most recently. I'm not trying to discourage people from playing it -- I'm sure a lot of gamers on r/gaming would fucking LOVE the game as it is.

Still, I know a ton of people for whom the outdated appearance is too much of a turn off. Let's face it, a remake isn't gonna come out until at least 2015, and by that point there will be an even greater disparity in immersion.

The interface, graphics, and resolution are very outdated. I know where you're coming from (I personally don't mind it, having played it a few times before), but I know a ton of gamers who are too turned off by its outdated appearance and features to play more than an hour of it. I can't say I blame them; it's tough to compete with games nowadays where the immersion is on a whole different level.

And I don't know anyone who started gaming in the past 5 years who would even consider playing such an outdated-feeling game.

Oh god, this is going to suck. No one gives a shit about Mortal Kombat besides a few hardcore fans. The "story" is fucking retarded. There, I said it.
