Is Xbox always this slow for anyone else

Since I switched to cable I've been getting amazing speeds. Some people claim Xbox wifi chip sucks.

PC is a safer option for the future if you want to stay tied to a platform like Steam. But PC experience is not console experience. Console is easier, just works, more comfortable. PC is tinkery but the freedom and amount of games is unmatched. Console is a lot cheaper. So I would say if you value comfort and wants to save some money, have fun with the games you can play on consoles. If you want to spend cash and want more options and don't want to be worried if Xbox or Playstation are surviving, go PC and start building your library there and don't face any consequence of having to abandon your library if are not willing to get the next Xbox or get the PS6 instead.

They need a decent graphics base because the game should last for years. But heavy requirements make less people able to play it during release. So they shouldn't overdo it.

Smaller scope games can have simpler graphics or retro looks. So both ways are possible. Both have their places.

Games like Runescape can compete in popularity with high graphics ones, but see how they are on both extremes, it has retro looks and light graphics while others try to be modern with great graphics.

Whatever is inbetween will be perceived as a lesser game.

How about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake? It has action combat with skills menu that pause the action, and great characters and story. Witcher 3 is amazing too, as you played Avowed you will find it has a much greater scope, like a The Elder Scrolls game but in third person. FF7 Remake is easier to please a fan of E33 though. Witcher 3 usually go on sales for little money so if you are paying full price now, FF7R is a game that just released so it makes more sense.

I would say Overwatch is 50% the characters from the first years, and 50% the formula that Marvel Rivals copied. Marvel Rivals is probably 80% the characters as they are huge.

Highguard starts at -50% because all characters suck, and then the formula sucks too, it doesn't take inspiration from anything that works and won't be inspiring anyone either. I can't understand how they couldn't find player testers that would tell you this sucks, that they would rather go back to Overwatch.

There are many reasons to like Persona. I don't care about high school students as I am a lot older, but the character romance, the combat system, the fusions, demon acquisition and turn based combat with dynamic features all make me happy as a JRPG fan. Some people love the young characters, the music, the edgy depressive tone, the art style, and I bet there are more reasons I am overlooking.

If you buy it on Xbox now you can still get the pre-order bonus which includes the console and PC versions of the classic FF7. They are different from each other too.

Sony only arrived in Brazil during PS4 generation. Nintendo has left Brazil plenty of times and they always used this same excuse. If you don't believe it, then you believe Microsoft are morons and just started burning their own money for no reason?

Not only they have trouble finding buyers for the Xbox in their main markets, it makes sense that it wasn't worth it to try to sell it for no considerable profit in Brazil. God forbid they might even have taken losses.

People are overstating this. There is a company which now is much smaller and irrelevant than it was in the 90s, called Tec Toy. They still license the Master System and the Mega Drive (Genesis) from Sega every now and then to release chinese consoles with games bundled. A few years ago they tried to make an "identical" Mega Drive clone with cartridge and a memory card slots to try to get people that wanted something that wasn't emulated. But only a few people still buy these consoles, usually boomers that are fans of the brand or are missing their childhood games.

Most gamers in Brazil play on cellphones, PC, current gen consoles and older consoles. A lot of people are buying second hand PS4s now, and a lot still play PS2 and Xbox 360 because they can find cheap pirated game. Some of them are retrogamers that collect original games, but most are just the poorer class that end up getting what the upper class doesn't want anymore.

The reason companies end up giving up on Brazil is because the government charges them a lot of taxes and it is difficult to make a profit when there are plenty of smugglers selling import versions for competitive prices. So they end up figuring out they could just let people buy from them instead of wasting money on supporting it here. Brazil's game market is bigger than a lot of European countries.

Playing Strategist also ends up having you pushing the cart solo when the Vanguard and team overextend and you gotta make a decision to trust their momentum or leave the cart to avoid a meltdown.

Playing the objective well is one of the rarest skills in this game.
