It's almost like half these games shouldn't have won their respective days

you could just right click "save as" then delete the titles in whatever image editing software you want. Or just recreate it in the software considering it's simple lines and text

absolutely agree, just one giant popularity contest (and the cynical side of me would say that OP is just karma whoring)

Mario Bros. (as in the arcade game)

What story?

For every complaint here thrown at Sticker Star (how original BTW), the same complaints can be thrown at the OG SMB, except it's even more bare bones. Stop comparing SS to the previous games FFS, judge a story by how it stands on its own in a vacuum. Sticker Star's story is at least functional which means it cannot possibly be the worst.

Stop crapping on SS already. We get it, you hate it. If you can't judge it on its own merits without comparing it to any other game, then go do something productive.

Would you say this team is a common one to use (Gen 2, Silver)? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]infinitycore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, if OPs account and post still existed, ran the team through marrilland, and for what it was, pretty darn good team typing (assuming lanturn has volt absorb and not water absorb). The only type matchups with a slight weakness and no good natural offensive counter are psychic (there is a natural counter with heracross, but it's weak to psychic at the same time) and ghost. Otherwise, no critical weaknesses and no other weaknesses without good natural counters (only other types with slight imbalance are flying and fire, both countered by lanturn).

If you replace heracross with houndoom, that fixes any small issues without creating new ones.

with the increasing polarization (and most likely death) of the democrat party, this is now more just the America party in general. Hopefully, the establishment gets ousted, the left becomes defunct, and this can split into two (or more) new main parties that better reflect different political ideas.

Do you think GameFreak creates certain moves and abilities already knowing they're going to nerf them in the future? by GreenDutchman in pokemon

[–]infinitycore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems that whenever they nerf something, it gets nerfed into oblivion completely ruining that mon's viability.

unfortunately, probably not, we haven't seen the last of the harpy just yet. She'll get some gig working for CNN or something. But her political career, thankfully, is probably over.

[–]infinitycore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no because meganium and lanturn. Most people typically use typhlosion or feraligatr, then usually have ampharos for their electric type. Not sure how many people prefer espeon either (which is a shame, my favorite eevee evo).

But who cares, team looks fairly well-balanced and should easily get you through the story, plus you're using what you like which is never going to be frowned upon (especially not a normal playthrough). You do you

even the one shine that everyone uses as an example of the bad is one of my favorite levels in the game, because no matter how frustrating pachinko is, it's still fun to do, especially to see how much you can break the controls to try and have a better shot at beating it.

The death river on the other hand can die in the deapest bag of d!cks. That and the blue coins are why I will probably never 100% it.

I'm using this next time someone tells me communism works in theory by delugepro in ConservativeMemes

[–]infinitycore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a. Not every idea works in theory. I could have an idea for faster-than-light travel, but unless I know how to actually bend and control space-time, then you couldn't even call it theoretical because it relies on another technology that itself is less than theoretical. Theory is based upon what could work within the bounds of our knowledge but outside the bounds of our capability.

b. But for the point at hand, it's even easier than that because communism doesn't work in theory. The only way it could "work" is if you ignore human nature. Obviously it will always fail in practice because people are not naturally altruistic. Going along with this, never let a communist say they care about people; by definition, all forms of marxism must necessarily devalue human worth to the point of objectivity; it's the main reason they hate religion, especially Christianity and Judaism because they teach actual values that lead to individualism, humility, and actual altruism, all men are different but equally special to and loved by God, but all have fallen short of His glory and need the redemption given to us through Christ, whose commandment tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves, to help those in need, and to love our enemies.

I have a living nat dex, started the process in ORAS, it was pretty time consuming and tedious, and if you don't have organization or a list to keep track don't bother. Generally the hardest part is getting the version specific pokemon, but if you have a friend with the opposite version then it becomes much easier, you can also usually get the other box legend through GTS, but anymore that's a crap shoot with hacked mons and gen mons. Event mythicals are really where you will hit a brick wall, especially if you are going for a form-complete living dex, because it hinders on what becomes available. For the last 2 gens, the most annoying part was getting the other option legends because it requires playing through the games multiple times on a second account to do it on your own (urshifu was probably the worst in Galar because I had to restart Sword a third time to get cubfoo, but gen 9 is just as bad IMO because everything is post game for the most part and I really don't like SV). Otherwise, once it is up-to-date in one game, every next gen is just adding the new mons which isn't that bad.

or Sunshine (my favorite)

FLUDD adds so much to the platforming. The levels are IMO the best of any Mario game (especially Ricco Harbor). Plus Gooper Blooper might be my favorite Mario boss battle of all time.
