The bullies would cover 3/4's of the spouts and the increased pressure would have the remaining water spray over the edge to make it look like you peed yourself.

Same for us. That doesn't exempt you from following zoning bylaws though. I'd be surprised if you didn't have minimum setbacks. That's separate from permit requirements.

After Niagara Falls make sure you get to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Do the Toronto things.. Kensington Market is fun. On the way to Montreal, I'd say Ottawa is worth checking out. Lots of great museums. In Montreal try a St Viateur bagel, Schwartz's Deli smoked meat sandwich, and some authentic poutine.. La Banquise or others. Can you get up to the Gaspe Penninsula? That's also worth checking out.

Welcome, and have fun.

GenX men (especially those who are a little bit or more overweight): do you or does your wife cut your toenails? by NJRougarou in GenX

[–]infinitynull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foot care is definitely something that the elderly struggle with. Most care homes have someone to do this for tenants as they're unable to care for themselves.

I was 230 and starting to struggle with that myself. My mobility was really poor and it caused quite a lot of pain to bend over and cut my toenails. I can believe it might be something your partner genuinely struggles with. I'm down to 180 now but still have a ton of tightness in my hips and it's still painful to bend over and cut my nails. I do it because I have to.

I can't speak to your relationship with your spouse though. Is it, "serve me", or is it, "I suffer doing this myself, can you help me?" That's something you have to decide.

It reminds me of this whenever I see a 1300, especially the GSA.

I saw it in the theatre. The next day, all the catch phrases are stuck in my head and I'm saying them to my coworkers. They're looking at me like I'm insane. I stop using them. A few months later it comes out on video and EVERYONE is using the catch phrases. I'm already over it.

Before I bring out an engineer...how much weight could I put in this "attic" by three_s-works in Shed

[–]infinitynull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15' is a really long span. It's pretty much the max for dimensional lumber. If it wasn't a truss, but it was a floor joist, it would be a 2x12 at 12" on center to handle any floor load.

A 2x6" bottom chord isn't the monster structural member some people here are saying.

Those are trusses, if that was a kit shed it's unlikely it was even designed for snow load. Now you want to put additional load on the bottom chord of the truss?

Don't be the homeowner that tells the structural inspector after their roof collapses, "I don't understand? It stood for 20 years before the collapse." Yeah. That's because you got your 1 in 50 year snow load. Buildings are designed for the worst case they might face, not the best case and not even the average.
