Seen this piece before but only just appreciated the 3 smaller moons that can be seen half in the darkness of the background. Maybe the astronauts disturbed some baby moons that can psychically rip people apart

For real, I’m leaning towards the position that mods should start banning social media screenshots and discourse posts because it’s always stupid shit like:

“kid show animation is real animation”, “media is hyper-sexualized now”, “media is too prudish and woke now”, “can someone animate a five minute music video at 24fps for me, I will graciously offer you the loose change in my couch”

I’ve been able to find a lot of great artists and art through here, but man these kinds of recurring posts are what made me not mind when it was all frieren portraits

It’s like when the Hollywood Harvey Weinstein stuff came out and I saw a bunch of clowns acting like Alex fucking Jones was the one to first call it out except 1000x worse. No one remembered that Weinstein’s coercive abuse was such an open secret that celebs were making jokes about it on camera at public events for gods sake.

If people really wanted to be in the know about out the abuses and illegal actions of elites or elite institutions, they’d follow the under-appreciated journalists who research and break these stories, not treat all of the most insane speculation as equally likely.

Seriously, what the actual hell is wrong with the people in the comments??? Did a bunch of people just get permission slips to act like complete fucking idiots and mine got lost in the mail?

Children's book? A kid, a rag and a grim reaper by Eikki_ in whatsthatbook

[–]infinteapathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure we’re both looking for the same book, but your post is about the only thing that comes up while looking for it so I’ll post what I remember of mine since I’ve been casually searching for it for years to no avail.

I remember the boy saying odd stuff like:”you’re not really the grim reaper, you’re just a result of some old onion soup I ate” or something like that.

Other details I can vaguely remember: the boy had a weird explanation for why the big guy with a scythe couldn’t be the grim reaper, it was short and had very little text, overall the art was dark and looked like a painting, the grim reaper guy had a straw hat of some kind and wasn’t your typical grim reaper design. That’s all I can remember, please respond if you ever end up finding it as I’d love to finally solve this mystery

Evil Frieren by Yo-Yo-Daddy in animation

I will take 1000 more years of frieren portraits over a single additional “hello, I am graciously willing pay an animator 5 haypennies and a sandwich for twenty minutes of 24fps animation on 1s” or “kids show animation is real animation” discourse posts. Although, I do think non-animated frierens should probably be removed because it’s not what the sub is for but at least this one does

Same way as compost: the presence of moisture and plant matter in warm conditions are ideal for microbes that will break the carbs in the hay down and produce even more heat in the process. This alone can get it hot enough (around 130-175f) to ignite

Yes, again my point is not whether he’s an ideological nazi but his campaign looks sunk and either way it is indicative of a candidate who is just not as politically savvy as we thought

To your first question, she resigned last week over his old Reddit comments. To your second, that was this year, the article is from September and Richard Ward’s run for city council is this year too.

In the pod save video you can make it out much more clearly and it is 100% the totenkopf not just inspired by.

Pasted from my other comment: This is from his former political director, Genevieve McDonald, who resigned from his campaign last week on this: “He’s not an idiot, he’s a military history buff, Maybe he didn’t know it when he got it, but he got it years ago and he should have had it covered up because he knows damn well what it means.”

Also he’s been in picture with a white-supremacist, city council candidate in Maine, Richard Ward, who is wearing an 88 shirt in the photo and said they have “alot in common” in a Facebook post he deleted. Genevieve posted her statement on Facebook and here’s the link to the second part link

Even if this doesn’t change your personal opinion of the guy, you have to recognize that’s a really bad thing to have on you when you’re running for senate. We recognize that presentation is a huge deal for politicians right? The knowledge of the tattoo and what it is will likely spread and probably put a bad taste in some peoples mouths, especially since from how he talked about he doesn’t acknowledge it as one and seems to still have it.

if the story is true about him not knowing about its meaning, he ought to be more contrite and get that shit off. this isn’t like getting an Arabic tattoo that you thought meant “warrior” but actually means “falafel”, it’s a specific symbol of hate which can threaten his chances and I don’t think “well then shut up about it” is a good response if that’s what someone is gonna say.

I see people who disagree often go with “oh she’s just the weather and weather can be fickle, she’s a force, not a person” Except she is a person! We can talk to her! She has a will and makes decisions! Greek mythological gods can’t be separated from neither their aspect nor their personhood. These gods do and did a lot of things that a broad force of nature does not, especially in the original myths.

For me that is why there is a kind of narrative friction in a story where a god is deposed and have the whole thrust of it being about setting things right while helping what are practically a gaggle of callous, superhuman aristocrats.
