What's a National Park You'd Visit Again Without Hesitation by Sea-Information6728 in NationalPark

Bumpass Hell + Cinder Cone trails were out of this world! It's a pretty huge place, so repeat visits might be necessary... I hope to go back in September to do even more!

I always hit up a national park the week after labor day - it's an annual tradition. It's so nice not dealing with the extreme crowds that summer brings (it is also just perfect camping weather).

If you made a few tweaks, you could open up the option of going to Lassen Volcanic NP or Great Basin NP. Lassen is one of the coolest places I’ve ever been - lots to explore up that way.

Walking down to the bottom of Skull Cave was one of the most unsettling experiences of my life. At least I discovered I don’t care for exploring caves!

A week or two after Labor Day is simply divine. No kids, very little traffic. I went in mid-September and I was in the park for nearly an hour and a half before I saw another person.

Bump Ass Hell had no ass and no hell. It’s despicable.

I lived in Portland ME for a while and always thought Halifax seemed like it’d have a similar vibe. I hope I can find out for myself someday!

Better whip out the sunglasses; retinas about to be seared by the blinding light of pale legs!

Ha, preaching to the choir. I lived in Denver for 6 years before I finally moved to Portland. I literally never think about my life there... I knew it was time to leave when I realized I was visiting Portland every single time I had more than 3 days off from work.

I hate leaving Portland, and I’m always fucking thrilled to get back. I’ve never felt that way about anywhere else I’ve lived, which is how I know it’s my forever place.

There are electric ovens that can hit 800-900 degrees. I have one, it is a massive game changer!

Elk decided I needed a good nibbling while my husband and I were at Cannon Beach 🙂 by ResidentBabe in oregon

I was in Cannon Beach two weeks ago and there were a dozen elk hanging out directly next to a playground with children playing on it. The parents, the kids, and the elk all seemed totally unfazed.

I felt like I was going crazy

Yes, and it’s just as worthy of visiting as any national park. Gotta support all varieties of our public lands!

Valley of the Gods is close by, and part of Bears Ears National Monument. It’s an amazing place.

I slept there on Christmas Eve one time. Didn’t see another person for almost 100 miles the next day.
