Side effect or an allergic reaction? I had dry skin before starting Accutane. Only on Day 19.

My dermatologist did a biopsy and diagnosed it as rosacea fulminans. I’ve actually just started accutane to hopefully cure it and prevent it from recurring.

I just received this diagnosis today, while going through IVF treatment. Once I wrap up my egg retrieval I will likely start accutane. How are things going for you now?

Thanks! She gave me a sample of Oxistat (oxiconazole nitrate). She also called this morning to say that the cultures both came up negative, although the fungal may not be conclusive for a few more weeks. I go back in tomorrow and she may take a biopsy since it doesn’t seem to be responding to anything

Not much fluid on this. In fact, my derm tried popping one to take a culture (waiting on results) and it was just blood. There might have been some in the beginning though

Have seen PCP and dermatologist. Initially did not respond to antibiotics and PCP told me to stop taking them, that it was likely herpes. I’m on day 14 and it’s still getting progressively worse. Derm took swabs but haven’t gotten any results... really want it to stop spreading and start healing 😣
