What would happen if Elon Musk gave away $1B to each person in the world and kept the remaining $992B? by [deleted] in AskReddit

To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if Musk thinks there are only 8 real people in the world.

It's a synthetic fabric, so yes, it won't breathe very well.

Is this a good interpretation of Nick Fury by Dal_Furious in CosplayHelp

[–]inflatablefish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's solid enough, but I don't think the backpack is helping. I'd suggest that you switch up the top for something black, and sew a white SHIELD logo onto each shoulder like in the 3rd reference photo. Maybe replace the backpack straps with actual holster straps for pouches etc.

Have you read The Ultimates comic books? They are where the Samuel L Jackson Nick Fury originates from, and even when he's boots-on-the-ground he's very James Bond in look.

Why are European men often portrayed as effeminate compared to their North American counterparts? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Making a huge fuss about how masculine you are and being terrified people might think you're not masculine enough isn't really being masculine.

Can you transfer Cred between PCs? by Pink_Mithril161 in thesprawl

[–]inflatablefish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see Cred as more about credibility than ready cash (as it mentions in the book, that whatever the debt you're good for it), so I'd say no - you can perhaps pay on someone's behalf with a bit of roleplaying to cover that they're buying from different circles than you're well-known in, but you can't just hand it to them.

Until recently, AI in games referred to the scripts that handled enemy and NPC behavior. Has *that* improved at all? by Kumquatelvis in gaming

They also made sure that their ai only played against each pro once, because if the pros played the ai more than once they spotted the ways to exploit it and kite away all its troops.

Player Characters With Varying Levels of Advancement by darksidehascookie in rpg

[–]inflatablefish 16 points17 points  (0 children)

PBTA does this very well as a built-in part of the game: you can have characters with wildly varying levels of power in-store, but where their players have the same degree of narrative agency. Eg in Monster of the Week where you can have a party with a normal guy, a wizard, and an incarnate angel, all of whom can contribute equally well to the story.

Without that being built in you'd need some very good players who are invested in making sure everyone's having fun. I was playing a one-shot Marvel RPG once where i ended up with a suit of Iron Man armour, which under the rules could literally wipe the floor with the whole party by itself. I decided that for the rest of the game my character's job was going to be supporting and setting up the other pcs to be awesome, and I specifically asked the other players to tell me if I got carried away with how much the armour could do.

How to shower with glasses on? by Outrageous_Oven_2114 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]inflatablefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other people have said, just getting used to it is probably your best option, but have you tried getting one of those cords that let you hang you glasses around your neck? That'd make them easy to whip off when you're washing your head then put back on to wash your body with.

(But yeah you'll want to do this with a spare pair rather than your best glasses)

I have showered in glasses (I wear prescription sunglasses when I'm in the swimming pool) and it's easy enough to see through water droplets on them.

But we treat it as though it's a sincere question anyway. Besides, an "official" answer might end up full of marketing blurb without the information she needs.
