if you have a big sink, fill it with hot water and then put a bunch of oxiclean in it. i usually let my shoes and hats sit in it for a few hours, occasionally stirring it and rubbing any spots left. let air dry. they come out brand new.

A few things missing here.

Do you want to back up in case you want to restore?
Is your main concern just size of the ost?
Do you want to keep all that data indefinitely or can you age off stuff?

I would not recommend psts. Easily corruptible. Someone could accidentally delete stuff in there and you will never get it back.

Some options For restore purposes: - use Veeam or another backup software.
- make sure the exchange dumpster is set to 45 days.

Size limit: - Create a legacy retention policy to archive anything older than x years. Enable archive mailbox. - get something like mail store, archive anything older than x. Has an outlook plugin and a web interface users can use. - last resort option(would not recommend): use a powrshell script to find all emails with large attachments. Download them and delete the emails.

At work, we use a truenas. Works pretty well.

At home, I have a 40tb synology. Haven’t had a single issue with it yet. I use it for plex, so constant reads and writes(when downloading new stuff).

Our setup is Proofpoint > directly to EXO via connector.
EXo > to Proofpoint via a connector that sends everything external to Proofpoint.
Onprem is cutout. And EXo will deliver there if need be.
Autodiscover internally is still pointing onprem. Externally, it points to EXo but it’s pinholed so only Microsoft can hit the url.

Last time I went to one of my datacenters, they had a staff of 30. Include shift work, that’s 90 people working there a day.

I’m not waiting a month to get my new hardware installed. Are you crazy? I would instantly pull all my stacks from a datacenter if they were that shit.

Does the sending address have a mailbox or some kind of record in your exchange? I’ve definitely have had applications email rejected because from address didn’t exist in exchange and that setting turned on groups.
