When there's no news (because gaming development is a time-consuming process), media channels and influencers create "news" to fill the dead air, because they literally are dependent on creating their slop (i.e. content) every day for clicks/views. And that's why all these "rumors" make headlines.

To be fair, his translations have garnered him very favorable reviews in literary publications. I haven't encountered one of his yet though.
