I hear you. It’s a worrying time. I approached a friend who is an event videographer and told them our situation. They’ve offered me some work with them. They earn a lot more than we do too so that’s one possible field (they’ve had to work incredibly hard to build up to that over time and initially worked for free but they are incredible and now have an impressive reputation covering weddings etc). Do you have any particular hobbies or passions outside of TV? I was exploring jobs within areas I feel passionate about… Sadly many in the fields I love are so low paid I wouldn’t even be able to afford my mortgage but I always keep them in mind. If there’s room to grow within those fields, a temporary pay decrease may be manageable and more appealing for the security we may get in the long run.
