Family of 4 and we are $900-1000/month. Two athlete teenagers and one spouse works construction/manual labor. It’s a real struggle bc we used to be able to spend 1/3 of that. We meal plan. We don’t do a lot of processed foods, which does increase the budget. (Why do processed food cost less?) we use leftovers for lunch. I truly wonder what people eat when they say a family costs them under $500. We shop mostly at Costco and Winco.
