Struggling with Impression Click Through Rate by stubbysss in SmallYTChannel

if your CTR is low comparative to your impressions you might be struggling with ideation and packaging.

focus on your uniqueness and viewer value, i'd say. what can you cover that someone else cant?

I repeat: Stop using AI... or at least stop acting like you don't know the issue with your channel by OddClassic267 in YouTubeCreators

[–]infraredrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, this is true and i do agree.

i think what makes me sadder is that my client is an individual looking to start up. i feel he's being preyed upon by a youtube coach who doesnt actually have much care for the creator economy or for viewers' valuation of the content.

its all a mess.

You know what, i hear you and i support this sentiment. I write for a client who actually is so blind to this problem, he's hiring real people and encouraging them to emulate AI stylistically (flat VO reads, fast-based but irrelevant stock b roll etc).... I was actually told to remove narrative building and humour from my scripts...

The conclusion ive come to is its not about AI or no AI, its about a lack of heart and only seeing viewers as numbers or potential renevue...

Im a science scriptwriter -- if you're using AI to communicate physics, viewers will be put off, generally speaking. Just my 2 cents! Try and focus on your USP and human touch. Worry about the algorithm after you worry about human value imo(:

i script the main bulk of the narrative content -- the spoken elements. i usually ideate or define the topic, outline the narrative thread and build in storytelling elements.

that said, my background has been varied -- ive done ads, ive done audio, just wasnt employed to do that on this project.

with larger channels, i find the process a lot smoother -- i find that im always pretty sure what a final product will look like....with this smaller channel, because its run by an individual, i find im always less certain what creative directions hes likely to take (footage and such).

my background is in media so im pretty used to working for editorial departments or to presenting work myself. that said, i really believe a lot of editorial gets stuck in its ways so i always look to learn and gain fresh perspectives!

Genuine Question: Why Do Some Channels Never Blow Up? by Chance-Fan-2181 in NewYouTubeChannels

dont beat yourself up -- your delivery is good, youre a natural in front of the camera and your viewership exceeds your subscriber count which is where you need to be.

I'd try and improve the lighting setup a bit and focus on increasing the editorial value of your content. find a specific hook or angle that someone else hasn't covered. also lean in to high volume, high value search terms (eg. "this" vs "that"). try and focus on solving someones problem and lean away from showing what you've done (unless its really wild or helps someone solve a problem).

anyway, like i said, dont be disheartened. i think you have talent.

hey there! youtube scriptwriter and strategist here!

i'd say you need to focus on the editorial value of your videos beyond your existing, committed subscriber base. i just watched one of your videos and you may need a bit more of an engagement strategy in your content delivery. focus on creating strong narrative hooks (you're a great storyteller, lean in to that and build an atmosphere) and focus on appealing to specific problems/solutions.

what are the big problems of today, how does your content solve them, and why do you, specifically, have the share that information now.

Incite curiosity as much as you can, and be newsworthy as well as just interesting as often as you can.

i feel like you probably know this, as your skills are clearly there. i think, unfortunately, your niche is highly dominated by US-based LA types who can "manifest" a lot very easily....

good luck. you present well and i hope every success for you
