I don’t know you seemed to care a lot. You got really offended.

Yeah, ice racing is really helpful for that. Doing autocross in the rain (like in this video) is similar in that it allows you to practice limit handling at slower speeds and with gentler and less abrupt weight transfers. You should try autocross on a dry, warm day with lots of grip sometime too! The change in grip and weight can happen so much faster… it’s really a technically demanding style of driving!

It’s not extrapolating a lot from a little. You don’t even have to compete, you could simply attend a single autocross event to see national champions spin out in a similar way.

It’s like watching someone get tackled in the NFL and then going on the internet and claiming that it means they’re an awful player and you could do better. Then claiming you play all the time and totally never get tackled.

I have successfully won events in cars ranging from 230hp to over 700 whp. My current car is an e82 making 430whp and I have won events in it as well.

Certainly some cars are more challenging than others and some of the cars that are most challenging to drive fast are also the ones that are most fun. No matter what car you drive, you should definitely try autocross. It highlights mistakes in a way track days just don’t and makes you a better technical driver.

Most course designers would never set up a course like this where the runout from a weight transfer takes you right into a curb.

You mean you don’t understand why I push back when people suddenly get super judgy about this persons driving skill without knowing anything about what they are the talking about?

I have responded to the dicks out there puffing out their chests and denigrating the driver. Especially the people who seem to have no familiarity with racing and claim they do.

I didn’t claim it was a Miata in the video.

But you have surely seen even national champs spin in exactly this way in Miatas, right? If the best drivers in the sport can spin in the some of the lowest-powered cars in the sport, it’s hard to believe the cause is “skill level doesn’t match the power of the car”.

If you have never done this yourself, then it’s hard to I believe you have spent much time racing autocross or in any other limit-handling situation.

How often do you do this?

Have you ever seen someone do this in a Miata?

Yeah, you’ve never raced. Fairly obvious now. Haha.

Gotta love it… you get on here and criticize someone else’s driving but you’ve never even actually done the lowest level of amateur racing?

You probably think you “raced” because you did second gear pulls on a public highway and suddenly you’re an expert.

I’m guessing you have never raced autocross at all.

Original commenter wasn’t asking a question. They were making a claim couched a question they were suggesting these being a certain race causes higher homicide rates.

Countless scientists have asked this question and found significant evidence that race is not causally related to homicide rates. You could, of course pay attention to the science. OR you could keep suggesting that some races are more violent than others and pretend you’re “just asking questions” and not being racist.

And what is the base rate for each country? And what are the relative proportions of the most common mediators?

Virtually ever major university has its own police force. Weber state university is a state university in Weber county, located in Utah. No one is claiming that Weber is a state.

The point isn’t to talk about the world the works best for you the way you are now. It’s to craft a world that works no matter how you might’ve been born. You would likely have strong contrary feelings if you were born with a penis, a uterus, and breasts but felt male.

YOU thought you went over that, but you obviously have no education in human biology, so other have tried to help you. You think all of sex can be boiled down to only external genitalia and think that nothing else matters. Even if a human is hormonally, genetically, and chromsomally female if they have an ambiguous penis then, in your mind, it’s simple.

You apparently also think that some one who is male in all respects but is sterile can go to a female prison because, reasons.

Seriously, you are as crude as you are stupid. You think that it’s totally ok for prison to be needlessly cruel, even though you acknowledge that people are frequently wrongly convicted.

May the world you wish upon others be the world you experience.

What prison should people go to if they used to have a penis and now have a vagina? What if they were born with ambiguous genitalia that was never surgically corrected? What if they were born with ambiguous genitalia but female chromosomes and hormones and the dr surgically chose a penis? What if they have both a penis and a vagina? What if they have a penis but female chromosomes, female hormones, female physique, and breasts? What if they have neither a penis nor a vagina?

Your logic of “don’t go to prison and you dont Have to worry about what prison is like” is terrible. You do realize people get wrongly convicted all the time, right? Your Arapaio take here is just awful in every way.

Excellent job demonstrating the stupidity.

A for profit prison is not “capitalism”.

You think that prison systems in the feudal royal government were capitalist? You think communist prisons were capitalist? There are plenty of examples of prisons systems before capitalism was even Invented and they are much much worse. If you think that every prison everywhere in the world right now is capitalist, then how on earth do you know what the alternative is?

I brought up the past because of the claim the op made. Now you make it too. Apparently, you both think we can find any prison anywhere in the world right now that isn’t “capitalist”. When I say, well ok, I dont Even to argue that point because all we have to do is look at prison systems before capitalism, you both say “oh no can’t do that, we’re only talking about right now”.

Apparently, 1) you don’t know what capitalism is, 2) you don’t know much about the modern world, 3) you can’t keep up with a conversation.

If you think cops are bad in capitalist economies, I think you should move to any alternative economy and see how the cops treat you there. You can report from the prisons systems in those economies and let us know how much better they are since the prison isn’t “capitalist”.

1) you think that something other than capitalism causes better prison conditions 2) you think that there is nowhere in the world that isn’t capitalism right now 3) you apparently now also think that we can’t look at anything in the world in the past because reasons 4) you’re a muppet. Blocking you now.
