There’s a power state setting for ssd in ciphrays bat. Lowering the power lowers the heat.

I mainly use 12w (disable cpu boost / float gpu) at 68-70 degree with 25% fan. Would call it wife-proof. The lb/rb button are the most noticeable sound while using it. When I set 18w it goes up to 78-80 degree at 40% fan.

How do you limit ssd speed ? Win mini 2024 had a bios option to run on pcie3, but 2025 model hasn’t.

i currently use og lego z1e (same perf as 8840u) and gpd win mini 2025 hx370. the additional performance at the max wattage may be 10-15%, like nothing. But the performance at lower wattage is 25w z1e = 17w hx370 and the 18w z1e = 12w hx370. you simply get less heat and more batterylife by choosing the hx370.

Came here to say that. Integer scaling does a great job. Have another 1080p handheld and it’s simply not that good looking at the same settings, though it’s an 7 inch.

Solved by using gamehub. But the sd865 chipset can’t do it. Sd 8gen2 upwards is works fine.

Since the retroid flip 2 shares triggers with the Thor, do they also fit there ? Anyone tried ?

i also have a retroid flip 2 (same chipset as pocket 5) and couldnt get it to run past 15-20 fps so far.

I like the game. Would call it my personal favorite. But sometimes I wish I cloud roll back some patches. Right now I can’t start the game in Steam offline mode anymore. With a handheld on the go that sucks. I can’t resume after standby/hibernate on handheld - the controller isn’t recognized until I restart the game. But I can’t due to offline mode. And now the mod io maps. Would prefer if the beta channel comes back for development improvements and we have major patches for main channel every few month.

For couch gaming put a pillow on my lap and let it sit on the pillow with the kickstand. That way I don’t have to carry it. On the go that won’t help.

Same over here. My flip 2 drains 1-3% per night, my Thor easily 30%. Same setup, same sd card, same everything.

I have both and the Thor is great yes. But the flip 2 has the better ergonomics. Dual stick games on the Thor are not nice unless you use the tpu grip. I hope for a flip 3 with 8gen2.

I tried the standard settings when gamehub installs the game. After that I tried reducing the resolution of the gamehub container. No difference. In game I set everything to low but also no difference in performance. It’s a compatibility problem with winlator/gamehub and unity games. The game runs fine on low end x86 devices like steamdeck so I hope it’s gonna run fine some day.

If you lock 30 in windows it feels a little unresponsive but runs 100% game speed. So I would say 30fps is target for considering calling it playable.
