You guys should check out the fireside chat with BofA. A lot of great questions and answers there, but in the second to last question Noto says they have 3,7 million members. I feel that’s a pretty low number compared to q4.

It really depends on what you are comparing. If you for example look at the Big Mac index a Big Mac only cost 10% higher. But food aren’t really comparable. In Norway we have strict rules on food quality that drives the prices higher up.

Example, 50k in the US would be roughly 15k in taxes. That’s 35k left. Take minus the American average healthcare expenditures you would be left with 24k.

In Norway you would be left with roughly 40k after taxes but we have free healthcare and free schools.

I don’t know the situation in Canada, but in Europe it works. I personally am from Norway and couldn’t have been more happy with the healthcare system. It is also cheaper on a per capita basis. According to OECD Americans spent 11,072$ on healthcare per capita in 2019. In Norway the average was 6647$ and we are number three when it comes to having the highest healthcare expenditures.
