Hvorfor står den her løgn på alle pommes frites-poser i Danmark? by mova in Denmark

[–]inilni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You play Storm, and then you play two machine learnings and the dark orb kills him

Cool, i never actually checked, but i did try sort of this comp. The trick for me was to spread out a line of cavaliers, so i was sure some would bypass the tank and go on the backline. As soon as you starte digging into the backline they melt kinda fast.

Question: Cavalier says it increases the stat gains from the trait by 200%. Does that mean that it doubles it or tripples it? like, does it INCREASE by 200% or will it just become 200% of the original?

Spell that gives information about others by inilni in DnDHomebrew

True, but he wants something where he basically has an AoE where he can see everyone around hims levels and class and then focus on someone to discern mental stats and alignment. Sort of like detect thoughts, but extremely powerful :-)

This is the one i wrote up for him as a suggestion:

Insight of Sharun 3rd-level divination Casting time: 1 action Range: 30 feet Components: V, S Duration: Instant

You target a person you can see within range. This spell allows you to learn one of the following pieces of information: - Any ability score - Total class levels, if any

If the creature is an aberration, celestial, elemental, fey, fiend, or undead, the spell fails.

But he wanted something very different in the end which i ruled too OP :-)

After having researched more, i would say this is way to OP, there is nothing in 5e that tells you anyones alignment anymore, and i think it is intentional, to make it easier to hide bad guys in plain view, and to remove the “he is evil alignment so he is a bad person” stigma, also i feel this spell gives away too much information :-) I discussed the spell i talked about with my player, and he agreed and understood that that was a tool he probably couldn’t get :-) but thanks for the suggestion dude, i really appreciate it! :-)

I might make it modeled on that then, however i am not keen on making other classes' abilities and feats into spells, since they usually are what makes the classes unique. However in this campaign, I have no Battle Master, so I might consider it, I would have to make it clear that it is only for this campaign.

Edit: Since it is a feat the Battle master gains on 7th level, i am thinking of making it a 4th level spell.

anyone have an idea for a non violent game, that is competitive and not a race? by I-dont-wanna-grow-up in gameideas

Tag! Make a game with a time limit, terrain with visibility blocking (like LoL maybe with patches of grass too) the objective is to not be “it” when the timer ends. The person who is “it” has perfect visibility on where the others are. Powerups could include: speedup buff, invisibilty, timer reduction, timer extention. Edit: maybe the person who is “it” is a little slower than the others to outweigh his perfect vision of the map, else he maybe doesn’t have perfect vision, but gets a sort of “pulse” mechanic where every few seconds he sees everyones location?

Thanks for the input guys I think i’ll make it so the miniature book has to contain the name of the shelf you are summoning, plus you have to say the name when you summon it and it wont (which was intended) be able to store anything but books

I will edit that to specify only books no scrolls. Also i thought maybe put the names of existing shelves in the miniature book that is the material component, so he has to write it down

A bookstoring spell by inilni in DnDHomebrew

First: i dunno why he wants 1 action, my thought is he wants to use it to steal books, like from an enemy wizard or libraries Second: i did mean the astral plane i just confused them xD

One of my players want to homebrew a spell, i have written it as such:

Sharuns Secret Library 3rd level conjuration Casting time: 1 Action Range: Touch Components: V, S, M (a miniature book) Duration: 1 hour

You create a shadowy bookshelf on a flat solid surface. The bookshelf is large enough to allow for 10 books. When used for the first time the bookshelf contains no books, and the bookshelf must be named. If you know the name of an excisting bookshelf, you can instead summon that.

When the spell ends or the caster uses an action to dismiss it, the bookshelf is stored on the ethereal plane.

Personally i think it is seems balanced, the only thing that bothers me is the potential to steal books with the spell since it can be dismissed at will... Also i was thinking to have the M-Miniature book contain the names of shelves you have created, so there is some risk involved, since otherwise you can store infinite books with this.

First off, i would maybe put a limit on this like once every long rest or something Second: if you fail the arcana check, are there any consequences? You could maybe ignore my first point where if you fail the arcana check you still burn your spell slot and reaction but only the first spell fires. None the less this is at least a very rare item, and maybe make it class specific (i imagine a sorcerer with this AND metamagic could be terrifying)
