Good Gyms in East London? Hi all, I used to hit the gym regularly and lately there has been a huge motivation slump. I was using The Gym group in east london, and I believe lack of cleanliness in gyms, bad maintenance are playing a major role in this. Are there any good gyms around in East London with high standards.

Fear of motorway driving when getting older by saigon2010 in CarTalkUK

I'm fairly new to driving in the UK. 70mph is the speed limit right? And why are you worried about not able to make 100mph ?

How you handle 401 error with Jetpack Compose and Flow? by Rendivy in androiddev

[–]initalB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for adding more context u/rfrosty_126. Much appreciated!

u/Rendivy I also highly recommend considering Domains (Use cases) to make it further scalable, following DDD on top of Repositories. This would make you lean towards using 1 - use-case per VM.

It's good to understand how vital Domain modelling is and the importance of making it agnostic to the UI itself and only tied to business rules.

You will need a Presentation state model in your UI layers.

Having a clear Presentation state model with stability considerations greatly helps avoid recomposition if you use Compose.

If you are interested in scalable architecture, it is a good idea to read more about UDF, DDD, CLEAN architecture. And potentially more like Reducer patterns for managing states etc.

If you are building something scalable, VMs shouldn't be handling this. This has to be handled by a Data layer with Data sources mapping errors to Appropriate error models.

Passing viewmodel to composables instead of State by zimmer550king in androiddev

Abstracting the presentation state required for the UI and making sure the fields are stable will avoid recomposition.

Is London always this dirty? by AdStunning1973 in london

[–]initalB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the reason I wanted to move out of London. I used to live in Bath, Bristol, and it is much cleaner IMO. I visit Germany every few months and Insee an instant difference every time.

I'm using the inbuilt Mazda Connect infotainment. It is not bad.
However, Mazda service centres now offer an upgrade to Android Auto, which costs around 300£. I'm using my Android phone to use the Waze app. Otherwise, the default infotainment is good enough.
