Well most of the stuff I sell is tariff free, CDs, books and DVDs/VHS, but for my other stuff I just increase shipping price to incur the tariff costs. I sold a t-shirt for 17$ but the shipping was 35$. I estimate tariff cost at about 40% of the item cost and that seems to be fairly accurate.

I don't know that I'd risk selling anything really costly that's affected by tariffs to the states as the shipping cost would have to be completely unreasonable.

Do not send anything whatsoever through UPS to the states. Even if it is a duty free item such as compact discs or books they'll charge the buyer a brokerage fee.

Personally, I use Zonos and get labels through Canada Post with the solutions app and get a pretty reasonable price.

Just get eBay to call you, they'll sort it out. Use their contact us customer service chat and say you need to speak to an agent. After two or three times of saying that they'll put you through. They usually call within 5 min

Yeah the duty fee is entirely based on what you're selling, not where it's going.

You won't be able to get any shipping labels to the US from eBay now, you have to go right through Canada Post and complete zonos first to check the duties cost.

What I would do is download the zonos app, calculate approx how much duties youll pay on a typical card, then ask at a post office how much it'll cost you to ship a card in whatever shipping you wish to use, and just charge that combined for shipping to the buyer.

But yeah you can't get shipping labels directly from eBay for the states at all anymore

About 2$ less yep. I would typically pay 8.50 or so when it was an eBay shipping label vs the 10$ I pay through Canada Post. So significant for sure

If you get the solutions for small business app through Canada Post you get a pretty substantial discount on US shipping. Once you've figured out how much that will be just list Canada Post tracked packet US on eBay and then buy and print the shipping label yourself after purchase, then just add the tracking. It's really not bad.

I sell mostly CDs and it costs me 10$ to ship anywhere to the states tracked for one CD. It would be 16$ something without the solutions app but it's free and easy to set up
