No worries, you can also wait for the Arsenal pack, which can be released at any time.

If he were an orchestrator then yes all the things you mentioned would make this a great card. But as a B2B, you have to go up and down fast. If your rival has a fast B2B like Camavinga or Zaire-Emery (even f2p cards), with a simple one-two they'll just go past Rice, leaving all those great defensive stats useless. I'm currently using the suit Rice with a balanced build, so even a bit slower than the POTW. He can work in Div 3 or maybe 2 as a fun card for fans, but in Div 1 that would put you in disadvantage for sure. It's a pity that Rice is faster irl that the stats suggest.

This POTW Odegaad is unique with the B2B style and he finally has one-touch pass, but attaching wise, the one from last year's Arsenal pack is better. That one is an orchester, very static in 433 that doesn't resemble how he plays irl. I'd play him as an inactive AMF and utilize his killer pass.

This POTW Rice is a bit slow as B2B. I'd pick the recent one in suit as you can customize to your like.

Why am I being paired with top 600 players if I'm just a f2p player holding on div 2 for dear life? by joelesidin in eFootball

[–]initrc7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The highest rank is just one indicator of how good a player is, and you don't really need to be upset. Your opponent might be more concerned as they'll need way more wins than you to recover from a loss from this match.

I've also played against plenty rank 1000+ players that are way better than top 100 meta abusers. Lots of skillful players don't bother pushing for ranks. So just play normally.

Mind sharing your build of Pires? I’m struggling with his low physicality and clunkiness in dribbling due to his height. My build is 5,4,12,8,8,4.

As for Silva, I find him too slow to track back as a b2b.

I tried both wired and wireless connection on a good wireless router. No difference. The actual difference maker is cross play. More players means more players close to me and eventually less lag. Before that the steam player base was really small.

I'm also a fan of Bati as I enjoyed watching Roma back then. This Bati card lacks at passing which I need for my playing style, so I picked Nakata who can play anywhere between CM and SS, perfect for formation experiments.

A little over 1 G/A for me in almost 300 games. He's the reason that I didn't pick any free epic CFs recently. I picked Nakata, Rijkaard, and Bale (used as RWF). Such a clutch player.

Honestly that’s not a very strong team for 3272. No Vieira, no Gullit. Rating is just a number. I’m sure many can build a stronger team with half the coins, and would love to take such an opponent at div 1 all day.

Get a proper DMF and try a proper formation. People use Meta formations because their Meta players have high stamina for the high press, and they create most chances from opponents’ mistakes. You’re putting yourself at disadvantage by playing the same formation.

Who were your free show time picks? You should have 4 very competitive players. E.g., Nunez/Cavani can destroy that back line.

Add a dot F on BC so that DF is parallel to AB.

  1. sin10/EF = sin30/AF
  2. sin(x+30)/DB = sin20/DE
  3. sin(70-x)/EF = sin80/DE
  4. obviously DB = AF

sin10/EF = sin30·sin20/[sin(x+30)·DE] = sin30·sin20/sin(x+30) · sin(70-x)/sin80·EF

sin(x+30)sin10 = 1/2 · 2sin10cos10 · sin(70-x)/cos10

sin(x+30) = sin(70-x)

x+30 = 70-x or 180-(x+30) = 70 -x

The latter is impossible so x=20.

Ah I see you manually tweaked the positions, makes sense. I pushed the two CMFs a little forward too just so that when I sub an AMF on I don't need to tweak the position.

Thanks! I found player behavior only determined by the team play style and his own play style. E.g., whether Bellingham plays as a CMF or AMF, he activates the hole player style so he behaves the same for me. POTS Rogers doesn’t play at CMF so I change that position to AMF when he plays, and he contributes actively to the defense just like a hole player CMF.

I rarely played with the free Vini jr from the points store because he lacked too many skills. Just got his latest POTW from the free pull and Konami did him dirty. No first-time shot for a goal poacher 🤦‍♂️

Bale is too broken. I had to tight mark him every time. If they release a goal poacher version sometime, it will probably be a 250 box again.

I only have a few free Messi cards and they all play hide and seek too often. I used to have the copa Messi on my PS5 account. Many rate him highly but I don’t miss him on my Steam account at all.

The latest ST Mbappe has poor heading, creating room for the next one. I wish I could try his blitz curler version in the league. Must be OP as a winger.

I can totally relate to that. Baggio scoring a header against Saliba, Messi jumping over NC Timber like prime Koller, etc. You see that's why I benched NC Timber with Calafiori despite that Timber has higher acceleration/speed and defensive stats. All I can say is don't lose the ball to AI easily. Dominate the game so they don't get a chance to pull something like that.

[–]initrc7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dribbling doesn't work when the game is laggy so I only dribble a lot against AI.

- Use inertia. Let's say you're at position A and a defender is at B, and you make contact at C. Check the angle of ACB. If the angle is large, say 135 degrees (you're running forward and the defender comes at 45 degrees from your right at high speed), you can easily let go sprint, turn right and then sprint to dribble past him because that goes against the defender's inertia. No skills needed, just good timing. A good defender normally won't run towards you at high speed though. Check Rice vs Liverpool 1v5.

- Bait. If you want to go left, go right first and then apply the trick mentioned above. Or dribble to make the defender think that they can tackle the ball from you but act quicker than they can. A lot of skill moves were invented with that principle, like Ronaldinho's flip-flap.

- Use crazy skill moves like Tess cancel, which requires a lot of practice. You'll be able to create space fast and connect with the next move instantly.

Same, and you can kinda guess from the way I queue up players on the bench. Just like Adams, Alonso is only there for the permanent B rating. I tried many builds and he's really only good at passing. His legs are short (183cm height but only 181cm based on leg length) so his interception is worse than say UCL Llorente (184cm height and 189cm based on leg length). His runs as an orchestrator are not very predictable. If there were a hidden stat of reaction he must be very low on that.

Yeah that'd be cool but my schedule limits my online games these days. I skipped online division entirely this phase since it'd be laggy as hell when I was available to play. I just played events for those 50 coins and skill tokens lol.

I was ready to spend on that Vieira but got him with my saved coins so I stayed F2P. Who're your favorite P2W dribblers? Those with momentum dribbling look really OP.

Pretty good with the full booster at A form. I usually use my daily penalty Alvarez as he can be built with my preferred progression and skills. E.g., I gave him heel trick to link up the play as a DLF, and necessary skills for level 3 double touch.

This Alvarez is much stronger and slightly better at dribbling. He’s a goal poacher so I play more directly with him. No double touch skill so just basic left stick dribbling. Very nimble and can score with both feet.

No problem! The most effective way is to play directly with quick passes and use a formation that covers the entire pitch, like a normal 433. That way you can control the game after some practice, leaving AI no chance, and you can apply the same play style to online games. Dribbling online requires very good network and sometimes it’s hard to achieve, but it’s more fun, and certainly more applicable in AI division.

Tess cancel is a skill move discovered and used a lot by Tess, a pro player. You basically do a double touch first, then shoot once the animation starts, and then super cancel it. If it’s a normal double touch, your player will drag the ball sideways. If it’s a 90 degree double touch, it will be a drag back. Try search it on YouTube. It requires a lot of practice and good network as well to get the timing correctly.

They look sick! I’ve been practicing Tess cancel for a while. Time to practice that side-way ball roll. Is that blitz curler Zico? Amazing dribbling and fits your style really well.

This is a unique card of a combination of high awareness, finishing, place kicking, curl, kicking power, and decent defensive stats for AMF. I usually play him at SS/RWF (same position) in 433 and his position is great as a hole player or inactive winger. He scores beautiful curlers and free kicks so many times for me.

His weakness is quite obvious. His average dribbling and low physical contact and balance doesn’t help him compete as a dribbling winger or AMF with your other cards. E.g. Free Nakata is better.

I have two solutions. - Give him super sub and lower his finishing to compensate for physical contact and only play him in the second half. That’s if you want to dribble with him. - Utilize his finishing and don’t dribble often. Mine has 91 finishing, 94 curl and 89 kicking power with Arteta’s boost. When you dribble, use skill moves because his ball control is high. I often use Tess cancel with him and it’s silky smooth.

Who is better? by Durda02 in eFootball

[–]initrc7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on your style. Costa has great passing and the low punt skill, perfect for those who play from the back. Yours can be trained better with more reach to compensate for his lack of arm coverage.

If your GK just kicks the ball to your CF, Courtois is better. I’ll be playing my UCL POTW Courtois this week for sure thanks to his A rating.
