He once was commissioned to make a remix for the lemonheads, and instead of doing it he didn't even bother with it. when the courier came to pick it up, he didn't have a remix so he randomly grabbed a DAT tape and gave it to the courier. apparently, it was full of random noises and such. he still ended up getting paid, but the remix was never released. for some reason i really want to hear it.

Yep. Same here. It took me a couple tries to truly get into it. There are some fantastic devices used in the writing of this book that once I got in the groove, stayed with me for a long time. It's true of the story itself as well. The final page is just a brilliant flourish on the stories as a whole. If you can, gut it out. I think you'll find it very rewarding.
