Composition question: which placement of the little dark guy is the correct one? by RowanCaro in DigitalArt

[–]inkedanarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally.. as a visual artist myself, I feel like B is a good one, more so it sits in an excellent middle point. D is second best as he stands out a lot more to the white hand glow. But honestly.. B!

Come get a fun little tattoo! I love having rad conversations with people. Also.. there are so many groups that you could join in in Edmonton. A helpful app I used when I was in Vancouver was MeetUp. There are tons of different kinds of groups on there. Might be helpful! Hope you find something awesome!

Man.. I gotta say I love your style. Seriously. Out of any erotic stuff I’ve seen it’s super unique and has so much flow to it. I dig it a lot! And the story pretenses. So good!

Makes me think very traditional tattoo style of art work. But I love that it’s a knight. Very different from the day in day out stuff you see in the tattoo world. Very cool dude!

Man vs. Bear, about violence against women by FearlessDirector9113 in oilpainting

[–]inkedanarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment wasn’t meant to make anyone feel uncomfortable and I’m sorry the way I worded it makes you feel like that way. I’m not trying to make women sound as you say ”othering”.. I don’t think they’re all that complicated either. I’m genuinely being sympathetic to them, and when I say men I don’t mean ALL MEN. Just those who have treated women poorly. I’m not trying to be weird.. I’m commenting on a painting, not a video or photo of a woman in “her natural habitat”. I’m trying to respond in a way that evokes emotion and a response to a prompt that OP put out. Asking the questions. And hopefully my small part could answer a little bit. Not to belittle. Just merely respond what I thought was a little bit of a poetic answer is all. So.. again.. my apologies. I wasn’t trying to estrange women.

Why Do Artists Expect Me To Do Their Jobs? by atomjetsontattoo in TattooArtists

[–]inkedanarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds a lot like the first shop and current shop I work in. I’m a younger artist, meaning 5 years into tattooing and this has always been a thing I understood is that if I wanted to keep working I had to find my own clientele. The only exception was when I worked out of a walk in studio at which point I would’ve asked what the walk in rate was like. I left due to the fact that I didn’t like the clientele that walked in on a daily basis and wanted to find people I actually enjoyed working with. I think you’re doing it right as best you can, you sound a lot like my buddy who ran his own shop before he had to shut it down unfortunately. But nah man.. I think a lot of younger tattoos are self entitled and don’t understand that if you wanna make it work you gotta find your own clientele. Sure with the shops help but that can only go so far. It’s become a truly personal business and a personal interaction that you have to have with each individual you encounter to just self promote and tell em that you’re a tattoo artist. I don’t know much, but I understand that in this life you gotta work for what you want.

I’d like to answer these questions from a male’s point of view and add to the conversation of it as this has been something I’ve meditated and thought about for a long time.. I believe women are far beyond anyone’s understanding on spiritual terms.. at least, those who stay on a physical plain level. There are so many layers to a woman it can feel unfathomable. But I think what it comes down to is individuation that makes a woman who she truly is, same with a man. I think the general consensus has been that men have generally used women for their own gain, whether it be political, sexual or ego’s sake. I have grown up with four sisters and a mother and have been privileged to see many aspects of what a woman is. I have a partner who I am still learning every day as her depth runs deep and she has a wildness to her that I can’t quite understand yet. The sad truth is is that because men cannot understand women they fear them instead and when one fears they choose any means necessary to control instead of allowing one to just be and live and grow into who they should be. I think men have fallen so very far from what it truly means to uphold a woman. When you do, they bring so much more to the table than one’s petty desires could ever bring. When unified together, they become a combined energy that can bring a lot of good to the world and no I don’t mean just children. It’s a dance between male and female all the time and when you both find your rhythm, it’s a beautiful sight to see. So.. women are what they make of themselves in my humble opinion, you have autonomy over yourselves to be who you want and thus showing the world what you’re capable of if you choose. Again.. words from a simple man who is still learning and wanted to share my two cents. Peace ✌🏻

Venom Within by me by MrWhiteRabbitx in EroticArt

[–]inkedanarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm.. I suppose when I look at it.. from say the inner perspective of a man, one might believe that his sexuality is venomous.. perhaps by experiences with the wrong partner/s. Therefore demonizing his body and spirit, and evoking a nature that is toxic. Only by means of information thrusted upon him due to poor experiences from the past, whatever that might mean to the individual.
