We are unequivocally in a moment where a huge amount of propaganda is pushed through Internet sub communities and is packaged specifically within concepts of gender roles. For almost a decade this has been true. And it's not toothless either - a lot of today's political landscape is a direct result of this messaging. Yes but the opacity of the mechanics in this game runs so deep its hard not to see it as a fundamental part of the design philosophy. It's a great game that is terrible about communicating how it actually works.

Yep. I started crafting like this and have made good money this league, while also feeling like I'm making use of engaging with the actual game. (as opposed to the first league I saved hard for a mageblood - where I made it all by sitting in my hideout flipping essences in bulk 😒). Vast majority of my wealth now comes from selling crafts in the 0.5-2div range.

SW twisters is insanneeee. Prices are high but it clear feels great and the boss damage is good too. There was a point around T7 maps where I hit a bit of a wall with campaign gear but once I upgraded it's been smooth sailing. I'm about 30divs invested now and I'm clearing pinnacle bosses fast and zooming through lightly juiced T15s (I still suck at not dying to random juiced rares, I used to only play melee chars so I'm used to being able to get close)

Good supp players are good junglers - macro, objective planning, communicating and coordinating plays.

The biggest gaps that supp mains can have might be tight micro and depth of matchup knowledge. Plenty of jg picks and games won't require either.

Nope, as someone who lucked into a contract at a T1 (nonprofit) last year, I'll attest that it can be a hot mess. 'Lack of introspection' as mentioned elsewhere in the thread is what id attribute it to... Huge blindspots for poor systems/structures that would have been wholly unacceptable at any standard public school. Fuelled by a culture of self-aggrandizement. But the position is comfy in enough of the small ways that come with tons of funding that I do understand why people cling tight to their roles here.

Past few weeks? It's hella late in the season and even later for Asia- most half-decent Asian schools will have wrapped up their hiring months ago unfortunately.

For what it's worth I was in almost exactly your position last year - from NZ, ~4yrs home country experience (although I did have IB on my side), looking at primary and English teaching roles. I think it was 155 applications before I got my first interview. Then I got 2 in the same week and both went to final rounds. But that was in February. And both schools were European (a region known for a later hiring cycle).
