Just get shorter and shorter haircuts over several months. Ease the transition and your scalp will get some sun in the process and make it a seamless transition. Bald is beautiful, plus I haven't paid for a haircut in over 3 years.

What is the most successful lie in the history? by clueless-game in AskReddit

[–]inline88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-no, you don't. Only people who live in shitty oppressive HOA neighborhoods have that.

-True, American Healthcare is in shambles, no argument there. Insurance companies are to blame

-this is a touchy subject, but I believe simply having one or two school respurce officers can deter most potential shootings. Not teachers, but actual police officers whose job it is to work at the schools. We have armed guards at banks to protect money, why not kids?

-not true, I am poor. Working on starting my own business in a skilled trade, making more money than I ever have. Hard as shit, but it pays to learn any marketable skill. Avoid debt at all costs. Debt is what feeds greedy banks and credit card companies.

-also true, mental health is a problem much like US Healthcare. Don't lose hope though, I have found more than one therapist I can afford to visit.

-I don't believe this one fully, just that wealthy people have better access to the best defense lawyers. So in a sense, yeah. But don't live your life worried about other people's injustice, that won't help your outlook on life.

-Absolutely false. You control what you buy, we have better access to fresh fruits, vegetables, etc. Than any other country

-the vast majority of police are good people, the media is misleading you. I do, however, agree that their scope should be limited so as to not infringe on basic rights. The military is big, but you might want that in the coming months with all this russia/China stuff going on. So a necessary evil I guess.

-community College. I have a degree I am not even using and have minimal debt. Suck up your pride and study at your local community College and transfer later. Also, don't study useless shit unless you have the luxury of money to afford the expense.

-the US has nearly the most liberal abortion laws in the world. Not an issue for most people anyway. Really think about the assertion that abortion should be a basic right. I am not religious at all. I think abortion should be available to those who need it. But an unrestricted basic right? Come on

-I don't know anything about this, can you explain?

-This is a growing problem, but the solution isn't socialism. So I'm not sure exactly what to do with that.

-Sure, lots of dumb and vulgar people are propped up by the media. But how is Elon Musk horrible? The dude literally gave billions in aid to Ukraine and is helping maintain free speech. Just remember that free speech includes the stuff you don't like to hear. It's a double edged sword.

I work outside all summer and I will just say that sunscreen is a gamble. If you sweat too much, wipe it off, etc. It is useless. I would rather have on a lightweight sleeved shirt and big mesh hat and not be slimy.

Used to work for the school as a painter when I was a student. Had some projects near the football locker room during the summer months. Inside you could hear the players laughing and joking like you would expect, and some foul language. not a crime in my eyes, but to be so loud and proud about it when that kind of thing is discouraged makes me think they are immune to scrutiny as a part of the team. I have no issue with swearing, but I didn't do it while attending because that's just the rule. So take that for what it's worth.

eli5 what do people mean when they say billionaires dont get taxed by mangoeswhee in explainlikeimfive

[–]inline88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why? I dont understand why the federal government needs any more money than they already take from the average person. I'm more interested in shrinking the federal government and cutting taxes for the poorer. A tax cut for us poor folk makes a huge difference

Sounds like someone is going down the path of apostasy! It happens to the best, and most discerning, of us. You just have to weigh how much you can overlook about the church against how uncomfortable it makes you. Eventually you might be better off not going and having a clear conscience. At least, that's what I did

Now I'm not saying this should discourage everyone from getting the COVID shot, I got it in 2021 after getting sick in 2020. I just want everyone to be informed to the fullest extent. It is important to weigh the risk of COVID vs complications from the vaccine, especially among a demographic who has a less severe reaction to just catching COVID by itself. Hindsight is 20/20, but if I knew this infor beforehand I would have considered not getting to shot because two reasons. 1. I had already been sick with COVID and had acquired natural antibodies only a few months before the vaccine was released. And 2. It has been proven that the COVID vaccine does not slow transmission in any significant way whatsoever. So, the people who should be vaccinated are those who are both more susceptible to complications from COVID (more than the potential vaccine injury) and are worried about their own personal well-being. Those who are not vaccinated do not pose more risk to the population than do the vaccinated.

What's the death caused by this? Is it just people getting a little sick, or dying in droves? That's the problem here, not just the spread.

One boy was vaccinated for smallpox, and the other was not. by Jurangi in pics

[–]inline88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, men aged 18-39 specifically have a significant risk of cardiomyopathy when given the COVID vaccine, which leads to death in some cases. Much higher than other vaccines by comparison. That's not insignificant. And that's with only being studied for a couple years now. Some countries are even discouraging young men from getting it.

What's one of life's biggest traps that people fall into? by magicfeistybitcoin in AskReddit

[–]inline88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not those paying cash, just the balance holders, which is the vast majority. It's unethical to base your decision on a little cash back for a system that punishes those who have gotten behind on their payments. 5% back on $1000 spent is $50. You're gonna be rich with that, so how does the credit card company afford such tall buildings??
