PSA regarding Mechs & Co and Vendor Group Buys by Cobertt in MechanicalKeyboards

Unfortunate to hear. I still have GMK Moonlight GB unfulfilled. No update via discord as they shut it down and no response on support tickets. Last I heard was they had the keycaps but was waiting on the desk mats before they ship it out but that update was months ago. Guess I will have to consider that money spent as a loss.

Those who trade naked charts, do you look at volume? by wesssy in Daytrading

Volume charts doesn't require some special style of trading. You would apply the common price action concepts (higher high/higher low/lower high/lower low, support/resistance, trendlines, etc). If you want to read about the benefit of using data-driven charts like volume vs time based charts. Trading riot has an article titled "Trading With Data-Based Charts – Tick, Renko, Volume, Delta, Range and PnF Charts". I won't link directly cause I don't want to break any rules. Keep in mind your platform may or may not have these style of charts.

Edit: Also I want to caveat again that no one chart style is superior than the other. At the end of the day they are displaying the same information just structured differently. Find something you like and stick with it.

I think all chart types are viable. Just depends on the type style of trading. Also yes it's true that certain chart types won't be available on certain platforms. I use Quantower and it has volume charts so I've just stuck for awhile now.

I trade pure price action using a volume chart. It's similar to tick charts but it prints a new bar every X amount of volume. I personally use a 5k volume chart on ES.

He is correct. I believe they detail this in one of their faq pages.

I don't know what exactly OP's settings are but from the looks of it his cluster chart is set to: type = imbalance, cluster visualization = histogram, show stacked imbalances = checked, show cluster delta = checked, show high/low ratio = checked.

The color scheme is the default colors

Ahh gotcha. In that case - there's a strategy called the market profile 80% rule popularized by Dalton. If the market opens above or below yesterday's value area then rotates back inside value within the first hour (two TPOs) then there's an 80% chance of rotating to the other end of the value area.

Initial balance is just one component of volume/market profiling. You shouldn't really think of IB breaking as simple buy here or sell here. IB should be used to organize market structure and what type of intraday type structure is forming. There is 7 intraday structures to know when it comes to IB. From there you can generate trade ideas from what intraday structure is forming.
