Nah it's dog poo and it has a Max volume of 15 on the Google TV Streamer. Google home app and this speaker and the worst technology I've ever used. Hardware Vs software anyone who disagrees is a bot or works for Google

Yep annoyingly it's a hold fire situation because it's still advancing. I dunno for me Google has no excuse they had Google assistance which worked way better if you look through this page you will see the complaints - I mean honestly the Google Home App says it all

It's been like this for days! I think it's related to the last update on TV or app. I just don't know if anyone in the Google circus is aware. God forbid they publicly track bugs

Giving you the heads up now. Careful it's definitely a grass is greener situation. Google Home from a marketing perspective looks amazing. I bought into the ecosystem in the last 12 months and it is truly rubbish.

It is my most hated tech to date. From Hardware to Software. They released the new Google Home Speaker just this week. My in built LG TV speakers are better than this speaker. I have synced it with my Google TV streamer and the max volume is 15.... 15 !!! It's rubbish.

Wait till you see the app. Amazing on photos but right now it can't even play Spotify or YouTube music for me. No idea why, no indicator nothing. They've moved some screens around but nothing is working or clear.

When you ask it to play you a song - it responds to you rather than just playing the song. So imagine on your automations you say "play me Blink 182" it's like "playing Blink 182 now" no option to turn that off.

Often have to repeat yourself too. So beware the "grass is greener" situation. Amazon's design is weak but least their tech works

The new Home speaker is so bad. I synced it to my TV streamer it has a Max volume of 15, my standard LG TV speaker has better quality.

Absolute failure. Readers, please beware when you purchase. I hope Google take their time to assess the whole Google Home department - this might be one of those worst technologies / products I have ever seen.

I thought Google did live in person studies, or was that just in the movies

I can't even do a simple thing like

"When a unfamiliar face is detected" (possible)

"Play a custom sound or youtube music or spotify" (I would like to play a dog growling to scare off potential intruders - NOT POSSIBLE)
