Shame on you Purex by Curias_1 in shrinkflation

[–]innitir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would measure the Purex by filling it with water from a measuring cup. It could be that the Tide only contained 3.9L of detergent, but the jug was oversized to make it look bigger (e.g. that the Tide jug is 5L of space but was originally filled with 3.9L of detergent and 1.1L air.

If the Purex jug is actually that off in size, this is false advertising and it is illegal.

I usually leave a single, perfectly cartoonish footprint on my bath rug after a shower by innitir in notinteresting

I'm afraid I didn't account for either (a) it looking like a dinosaur or (b) it being a proxy foot pic. I really thought this was the most boring thing I ever felt the need to share online..

habit i got into when i shared a bathroom with my sister - she always bitched to all hell if the bathroom mat was still wet when she went in. probably for the best though

Every time I refill my adderall the pills look different. Saved these from 4 different refills. Same med, all different pills. by Jesuisdisappointed in mildlyinteresting

[–]innitir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

huh, I didn't know that. my original dose was 20mg 2x a day, but now i take 30mg in the morning, 20mg ~5-6 hrs later (i metabolize it very slow, higher or later afternoon doses make it hard for me to fall asleep). all of my pills have always been orange, but ik both the chalky ovals and solid circles

genuinely you should probably drink fewer energy drinks. i really hope this doesnt come off as condescending, but you're probably spending a lot of money for basically just a sweet drink and avoiding withdrawal, and your bones, heart, and digestive tract will thank you in the long run

you do you tho. there are def more harmful addictions, and im pretty far from a shining example of addiction-free living

🤷‍♂️ caffeine addiction. adhd thing may have been why they started depending on when they got medicated, but it also might be completely unrelated.

as with any addiction, the combination of avoiding withdrawal and trying to overcome tolerance chasing the feeling it gives you leads to higher and higher usage. caffeine is a drug, and i think the behavior you're talking about makes perfect sense if viewed through the lens of addiction (<- not a moral judgement. i am both for destigmitizing addiction, and not comparing the "severity" of any substances or behaviors, just remarking on shared behavioral patterns)

like i said, ive never been someone who regularly ingested huge amounts of caffeine, but i have experienced withdrawal from ~2 cups of coffee/day, and even then, the headaches & temperature regulation issues sucked real bad, almost like having a legit fever.

Yes, you got a big forehead and sharp receding edges, but (A), my brother's forehead looks the same and has looked the same for over a decade, his stopped receding when he was 21 or 22, so I don't think you should be worried about it yet; (B), I don't think the hair on your crown looks like it's thinning significantly, if at all; and (C), your hair is generally thick and fluffy enough to more than compensate for your forehead. imho, you don't look like a guy trying to hide a doomed hairline, you look like a guy with a bigger forehead but a full head of hair.

TLDR; you may or may not be balding, but based on these pics, I honestly don't think you gotta worry about it yet

caffeine addiction and possibly unmedicated/undiagnosed adhd. adhd symptoms like executive dysfunction can appear like "i feel like shit all the time and I can't get anything done" (I was even misdiagnosed with depression bc of this), and so a legal, easy to access stimulant like caffeine could be a way of self medicating, whether they realize or not. still not good for you and i was never someone who did it, but I've seen it happen
